Who we are...
Pearl Health is restoring the independence and joy of practicing
medicine for doctors in the United States. Our healthcare system
has burdened our doctors with too much process, while removing them
from what they do best: caring for those we love most. We launched
Pearl Health because we believe primary care providers, armed with
the proper tools and resources, can have an outsized impact in
achieving high-quality, affordable healthcare. We foresee a shift
to an increasingly value-based future where physicians and provider
groups will participate in the value they create for the healthcare
system and will increasingly require proper tooling, information
systems, capital support, and technology to succeed in these
models.
We are a team of physicians (Groups), practice-enablement experts
(VillageMD, Steward, Stellar), technologists (athenahealth,
TrialSpark, Flatiron Health) and health plan leaders (Oscar,
Clover, Centivo) who believe that primary care providers (PCPs) are
the key to America's future health. Today, we support over 800
providers in value-based Medicare models, managing over $700M of
Medicare benchmark risk in partnership with the physicians of the
Pearl Network. To date, we have raised -$100M to deliver on the
next chapter of technology-enabled value-based care. Our investors
include Andreessen Horowitz, AlleyCorp, and SVAngels.
What we hope you can do...
The Chief Innovation Officer (CIO) will be responsible for sourcing
and attracting enterprise client (e.g. large provider groups,
hospitals and/or health systems, and payors) opportunities for
Pearl Health.
You will be responsible for spreading the word about Pearl's
innovative solutions to physician enablement and getting people
(physicians, health system and payor executives, technologists and
venture capitalists) excited about what we do. You will be a
critical public face of our company: speaking at industry events,
building relationships with key stakeholders, and working closely
with our marketing and network development teams to develop
strategies for promoting our products and services.
As Pearl Health's Chief Innovation Officer, you will need to have a
deep understanding of the healthcare industry-particularly
value-based care trends and the opportunities presented by
technological enablement of healthcare practices-and be able to
articulate the unique value proposition of our company in a
compelling way. You should be an experienced public speaker and be
at ease engaging with a wide range of audiences, from healthcare
professionals to potential investors.
The ideal candidate will have a long career in healthcare, with
strong domain expertise and a deep national network. You are
comfortable working with a self-sufficient, lean team; a
conscientious collaborator; and able to work effectively in a
fast-paced startup environment.

at our NYC headquarters and in the Boston area. This role will
require travel.

Compensation and Benefits
The base pay range for this position is between $200,000-$350,000
per year. Base pay is one component of Pearl's total compensation
package, which also includes access to healthcare benefits, a
401(k) plan and company match, possible equity options, and much
