process, including scheduling. -The Assistant Vice President,
Capital Risk Management joins a dynamic Risk group in a company
that prides itself in risk and investment sophistication. This role
will support risk management and financial forecasting across
multiple products and accounting regimes. As such, this role will
work closely with the investment team, finance, risk modelers, and
actuaries. This position reports to the Senior Vice President of
Capital Risk Management, with a flexible office location.Key
Responsibilities include:
- Strengthen framework supporting capital planning and stress
testing across multiple Bermuda-based insurance entities, including
sidecars
- Support enterprise transition to NAIC's Group Capital
Calculation (GCC), including rationalization of Risk Appetite
framework
- Enhance multi-year capital stress forecasting process,
inclusive of RBC, GCC, and rating agency views for both ORSA (Own
Risk Solvency Assessment) as well as internal capital
management
- Provide ad-hoc RBC/GCC modeling related to reinsurance
transactions, pending regulatory changes, and bespoke stress
scenarios
- Partner with risk lead architect to ensure data consumed in
capital models is appropriate
- Engage regularly with investment risk, Bermuda risk and finance
teams to harmonize workstreams, deliverables and assumptions
-QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or other quantitative
field; advanced degree, CPA, FSA or CFA charter preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in annuities, life insurance or
investments
- Comprehensive understanding of domestic life risk-based capital
(RBC) as well as Bermuda BSCR
- Proficiency of US GAAP and US Statutory rules for life and
annuity products, plus familiarity with product design, pricing,
risk management, ALM and broad economics
- Experience in capital markets including interest rates,
