Job Description SOURCING DIRECTOR As Sourcing Director, you will be responsible for leading major strategic initiatives as well as managing the current Supply Chain team and supporting the tactical sourcing duties in a matrix organization. This role will require hands-on involvement and will be responsible for managing and developing our network of manufacturing partners predominantly in China. The position will work closely with brand management, supply chain, product development, operations, and our finance team to identify opportunities with existing suppliers and source new manufacturing partners to meet our customer requirements and product roadmap. This position will be the most senior Supply Chain role in the company and will represent the company in all senior leadership meetings with our manufacturers. The Sourcing Director will help grow strategic partnerships with our large spend manufacturers and delivering strategic financial and operational value across the organization. RESPONSIBILITIES:Provide senior technical leadership to develop & lead the strategy and planning for Sourcing, by leveraging category mapping across Made by Gather products portfolio, category global market analysis, cost benchmarking, efficient global contract manufacturing set-up and management and a robust strategic sourcing process Support the Sourcing China team to build and manage strategic partnerships with global manufacturers to achieve an optimal balance on value, quality, speed to market, responsible sourcing and overall category risk profile. Also ensure that a manufacturing strategy footprint optimization is always updated.Set-up and execute a comprehensive plan to manage and grow a global team of sourcing and category managers to efficiently execute the portfolio strategy and meet key results Attract and grow a team of high performing supply chain professionals in China that can scale with the companyDevelop and lead global sourcing strategies to achieve business requirements regarding purchasing, quality, and supply chain.Create and foster an environment with the supply base that results in the highest level of commitment to continuous improvement in cost, quality, and on time delivery.Must be able to assess all the business functions including product design/documentation, supply chain, manufacturing, and forecasting in relationship to our global suppliers.Maintain industry knowledge and drive supplier improvement projects.Proactively leverage risk management practices that protect us from supply interruptions and other unanticipated risks through due diligence, contract negotiations, and supplier management.Conduct and finalize terms and conditions of Supply agreement with selected suppliers.Provide leadership support to Made by Gather corporate to educate and understand business practices in China. QUALIFICATIONS:8-10+years strategic and hands on experience in global sourcing, supply chain and procurement in high growth, fast paced entrepreneurial environment.Bachelors or higher degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Supply Chain, Purchasing, or Global trade preferred.7 years in a global leadership role managing global category and strategic sourcing teams for consumer products Demonstrated track record of developing and executing appropriate category and sourcing strategies in a fast-paced environments/high growth companiesHave a working knowledge of Intellectual Property matters Strong analytical and communication skills required.A global citizen with outstanding people leadership across organizational levels, functions, cultures, and geographies Fluency in English is required and Mandarin/Cantonese is nice to haveFlexibility to travel 30% international *Full-time position with a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits program, including hybrid work schedule, generous PTO, full benefits offerings, retirement match, EAP, discount program, holidays and Summer Fridays PI208272704
