OSHS specializes in creating and managing health care programs through on-location services, patient specific in clinic appointments, telehealth assessments, or any combination based on customer need. This position will be located at the William Street Clinic located at 156 William Street in New York City.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide mental health care services
• Examine, diagnose, and treat patients with mental health conditions
• Counsel and educate patients and families about conditions and concerns
• Completed timely and thorough documentation using our EMR system
• Formulate diagnostic and treatment plans
• Prescribe and administer medications, therapies, and procedures
• Responsible for the coordination of care with specialists and appropriate ancillary services
• Completes all documentation and paperwork in a timely manner
• Gather complex clinical information, coverage policy and criteria information and work within regulatory guidelines to assist with coverage determinations
• Perform all duties and functions in compliance with state and federal laws and regulations
• Demonstrate ability to maintain productive working relationships with team members, other internal and external customers, and management team

  Required Qualifications:
  • Licensed MD or DO in Psychiatry with active and unrestricted New York License
  • Successful completion of residency at an accredited institution
  • Board certified in Psychiatry
  • Active DEA or ability to obtain prior to employment
  • 5+ years of clinical experience
  • Computer and typing proficiency including MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
  • Access to a high-speed internet connection and a distraction free workspace
  • Full COVID-19 vaccination is an essential job function of this role. Candidates located in states that mandate COVID-19 booster doses must also comply with those state requirements. UnitedHealth Group will adhere to all federal, state and local regulations as well as all client requirements and will obtain necessary proof of vaccination, and boosters when applicable, prior to employment to ensure compliance.     Preferred Qualifications:
    • Managed Care background
    • Experience in Coverage Determinations (prior authorization)
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Experience using online clinical references and accessing professional (clinical and regulatory) internet sites
    • Experience working with onscreen document images
    • Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills

      New York Residents Only: The salary range for New York residents is $245,720 to $344,500. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
