The US CCB targets clients with revenues between $5M - $3B and support a range of financial solutions: term and working capital financing, treasury solutions, foreign exchange and trade services. The Business provides specialty lending including Loan Syndications, Asset-Based Lending as well as Cash Management, Trade, Foreign Exchange and Interest Rate Derivatives products. The business has a dedicated FX desk that trades in over 100 currencies. CitiDirect, Citibank's web-based global banking platform, supports a full range of transaction and reporting capabilities in a secure environment.Our Commercial Bankers are responsible for efficiently deploying the firm's capital across the globe by evaluating clients' credit needs. Commercial Bankers work closely with partners in Independent Risk to conduct in-depth financial analysis in order to evaluate credit risk associated with extensions of capital. Commercial Bankers are also held accountable for maintaining an appropriate balance between Citi revenues and risk associated with extending capital.The Mid-Corporates segment provides advisory services and products to Commercial Banking clients with annual revenues greater than $100.0 Million. Growth in this segment is based on a prudent and organized approach to client selection and capital allocation to ensure we are developing strong relationships with clients who seek Citi's unique value proposition based on our global platform and sophisticated product set. This segment is organized by industries.This senior level Relationship Manager will be part of the Digital, Tech & Comms Group within the US CCB Mid-Corporates segment. The Digital, Tech & Comms MC team is organized by three sub-sectors: Software, Internet & Digital Media, and Global Technology. The successful candidate will join one of these three sub-teams. - The job requires a skill set and experience that allows the bank to offer clients and prospects more complex product offerings and customized transaction structures.Key Responsibilities:--- Serve as Trusted Advisor to CEOs and CFOs as a result of providing creative financial solutions and superior execution. Gain client confidence and trust to achieve first right of refusal on clients' business opportunities.--- Actively build a pipeline and call on clients and develop relationships at multiple levels across the client organization.--- Expertly structure deals to balance risk and reward. Closely monitor clients to both identify business opportunities and anticipate potential risks. Proactively take action on possible risk issues and concerns.--- Develop and execute both short and long term plans to differentiate Citibank from other, entrenched competitors allowing the bank higher share of wallet and relationship profitability.--- Partner with product specialists to develop a thoughtful relationship plan for each client and prospect that focuses on both lending and non-lending business opportunities with the client and identifies specific action items to provide multi-product banking solutions to clients.--- Partner with other Citi businesses (particularly ICG) to ensure support to overall client and franchise objectives.--- Oversee talented junior resources to provide financial solutions to clients and prospects and ensure safe and sound underwriting practices.--- Demonstrate strong and visible leadership and foster positive attitudes and trust among clients, prospects, and employees.--- Maintain frequent interaction with centers of influence, industry associations, community leaders, and senior business contacts.--- Strictly adhere to internal organizational and control policies such as the account opening protocols of accurate collection, completion and updating of all required documentation.--- Ensure that the organization's activities are carried out in accordance with all regulatory, legal, and governmental regulations.---Minimum of 8 years of relationship management experience with clients with > $1B annual revenue size. Minimum overall banking experience of 15 years--- Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred--- Proven track record of originating and closing lead bank lending and investment banking transactions for Mid Corporate clients--- Extensive experience of working as lead arrangers to pitch, negotiate, and execute transactions that raise capital for Mid Corporate clients--- Experience in structuring and closing global lending solutions for clients with international presence--- Must have in-depth knowledge of banking products and services typically utilized by Mid Corporate clientsSkills & Abilities:--- Work in an entrepreneurial environment that facilitates build out of a world class Mid Corporate banking platform--- Thrive in a flat organizational structure leveraging talented junior resources to meet personal and business goals--- Possess superior business development focus and demonstrate innovative financial solutions and structures to client situations--- Be highly focused, able to rapidly determine key priorities, clearly communicate priorities, and ensure resources are properly aligned--- Able to demonstrate sound credit judgment during transaction structuring and present compelling proposals to credit officers and secure buy-in. Expert knowledge of credit products and process.
