Job Description:

Rufus, Amazon's media agency of record, is seeking an Engineering Director to lead the development of data pipelines to deliver data in support of Amazon's marketing and advertising programs. In this role you will be responsible for leading the data engineering team to deliver new data products, working with program management to understand business processes and design new features, and ensuring our data governance and operations teams have the data they need to ensure the data we're delivering to our client is accurate and timely. Attention to detail and bias toward action are critical, as quality and timeliness of data delivery are core pillars of our client operations.Key Responsibilities - Design and architect data pipelines including orchestration, ingestion, preparation, and delivery - Develop and maintain data quality checks across data products - Maintain documentation including data lineage, ERD diagrams, and wiki entries - Manage AWS infrastructure for executing data pipelines. - Perform pull request approvals and code reviews to ensure code quality and compliance with coding standards - Oversee feature enhancements and updates to data pipelines - Mentor junior engineers to facilitate learning and career developmentDesired Skills & Experience - 6+ years of experience in a data engineering management role - 4+ years of experience working on Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GC) using serverless technologies (Lambda, Step Functions, and EventBridge in AWS, or Azure Data Factory in Azure) - 4+ years SQL experience - 4+ years Python experience - 4+ years of management of an engineering team - Media technology experience strongly desired - Snowflake experience is a plus - CI/CD experience (Git, CodeCommit, or other technologies) is a plus #LI-DNI Wage and Benefits We offer a Total Rewards package that includes medical and dental coverage, 401(k) plans, flex spending, life insurance, disability, employee discount program, employee stock purchase program and paid family benefits to support you and your family. The salary range for this position is $150,000 to $170,000. Where an employee or prospective employee is paid within this range will depend on, among other factors, actual ranges for current/former employees in the subject position, market considerations, budgetary considerations, tenure and standing with the Company (applicable to current employees), as well as the employee's/applicant's skill set, level of experience, and qualifications.
