As part of this, we are looking for a Director of Facility Management, North America in Group Real Estate ("GRE"), who will oversee facilities management and operations in the region - including, -5MM square feet, -200 properties, and a -$50MM annual budget. This role will ladder up into WPP Group Real Estate.

What you'll be doing:

Primary Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Working with the Real Estate and Procurement teams to identify and implement the most appropriate FM operating model for the North America region.
  • Oversee North America facilities operations, maintenance and security of buildings and building-related systems. Manage vendors for cleaning, grounds maintenance, security, and other real estate services.
  • Implement and maintain EH&S best practices and compliance. Define and execute initiatives to audit and improve EH&S performance, minimizing risks and potential liabilities.
  • Supervise preparation of tender documents and manage selection and implementation of any minor project works.
  • Oversee health and safety and conduct risk assessment where necessary.
  • Working with the project teams to identify FM strategy and implement FM operations prior to delivery/occupancy.
  • Benchmarking of all 'current' FM spend prior to delivery of replacement buildings.
  • Assist in the recruitment of local WPP FM representatives as appropriate.
  • Provide ad hoc facilities advice to WPP companies.
  • Performance manage existing facilities management suppliers and align and ensure best in class services.
  • Manages specifications, problems/issues, performance, and administration of FM contracts.
  • Engage with internal stakeholders to gain feedback refer performance and quality of service delivery.
  • Work with WPP Group real estate to develop unified processes and procedures.
  • Work closely with Procurement teams to deliver further synergies within operating Campuses and offices in other countries in the region.
  • Develop innovative opportunities to improve building and portfolio performance.
  • Develop and maintain multi-year operating and capital plans at the building and regional levels.
  • Use best practices to improve efficiency by reducing and/or minimizing operation costs.
  • Manage all improvement works required, with minimum disruption to the corporate activities.
  • Liaise with Government Authority as may be necessary for upkeep/internal or external changes/alterations to campus.
    What you'll need:
    • At least 10 years of working experience in Facility/Electrical & Mechanical Engineering/ Project Management.
    • A specialized degree in Building Services/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Facilities Management or equivalent is preferred; additional professional qualifications would be advantageous.
    • Regional experience in FM outsourcings and improvement works for enhancing the existing system performance, efficiency, and sustainability.
    • Experience in managing external consultants and liaison with government authorities.
    • Knowledge of critical facilities and an understanding of basic technical aspects including HVAC, Health and Safety, Fire Protection, Mechanical & Electrical systems, BMS system, etc.

      The base salary range for this position at the time of this posting is indicated below. Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications.
