coast)The Director, Marketing Automation position will support the
global marketing organization for Medius. The role will manage the
strategic, technical, and operational components of all areas of
Marketing Automation (MA) within the company. The ideal candidate
has strong technical skills with knowledge of marketing automation,
CRM and reporting best practices within the area of Marketing and
Marketing Operations. Additionally, this candidate will have
extensive experience with funnel management, customer journey
frameworks, predictive lead scoring, advanced nurture programs,
database management, data privacy management, MA administration,
and marketing campaign execution.This role supports all areas of
Marketing including brand, field, digital, content, and partner and
their respective database, process, and technology initiatives, and
is responsible for unlocking potential within our marketing
operations for better resource allocation and process
optimization.As a member of the Marketing Operations and Analytics
team, the Director, Marketing Automation is integral to the success
of Medius' ability to effectively scale our core marketing
processes and systems to build an efficient revenue engine. This
person will work closely with executive leadership to communicate
performance of our MA system and its impact to the business.
Additionally, this role will be partnering with cross-functional
teams to align on priorities within the overall Medius tech stack.
This role reports to the VP, Marketing Operations & Analytics
within the Global Marketing organization.Key Responsibilities:
- Ownership of our Marketing Automation (MA) platform including
roadmap, strategy, execution, and administration.
- Resource allocation through both internal and external
resources
- Design and management of the operational functions within MA,
examples include:
- Scoring frameworks & programs
- Lifecycle frameworks & programs
- Preference center
- Lead Source program
- Privacy Compliance & "Opt In" programs
- List segmentations
- Database management and quality governance
- Management of the marketing functions within MA, examples
include:
- Plan, build, QA, and send email programs & campaigns for all
marketing functions
- Cross-functional prioritization of emails
- Manage all Campaign Execution Requests
- Form integrations
- List uploads
- Template creation and maintenance
- Campaign tracking, naming conventions, and data governance
- Marketing Automation administration & technical support
- General administrative oversight, user management &
permissions, webhook integrations, field management, technology
integrations, etc.
- Marketing Automation Innovations and Best Practices
- Introduce and implement MA best practices to continually
optimize our MA instance and increase productivity and system
efficiency.
- Marketing Enablement - Create, maintain and consolidate
enablement materials for new hire onboarding, skill development,
and ongoing governance
- Partner with Marketing team to build development and priority
roadmap
- Partner with Cross-functional teams to evaluate technology and
process change impactWhat You Bring to the TableWe have a
preference for a candidate to be based in Mountain,Pacific Time or
Mid West state (closer to West Coast). NOT suitable for applicants
in The EastCoast.Education, Experience & Training required:
- MARKETO Certification Required
- 10+ years of marketing experience
- 6+ years of experience with Marketing Automation
- Experience of taking complete ownership , managing resources,
building from thescratch managing large scale projects, with
ability to take it to the next level and seeing it through to the
end.
- Experience of Cross Functional Change Management within
MarketingAutomation
- Direct experience in relevant business systems such as
Marketing Automation and CRM platforms a must
- Strong understanding of how data work flows push/update within
CRM and marketing automation platforms.
- Experience in customer funnel design and operations
- Experience building and maintaining predictive lead scoring
methodologies
- Experience in nurture strategy and technical
implementation
- Experience with data normalization and database governance
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in business, technology, or
marketing
- Ability to pass a background check.Preferred qualifications:
- Prior experience in high-growth B2B SaaS company
- High level of project management and organizational skills
- Ability to think in the abstract, and understand the
intricacies of a complex system
- Experience with integration of marketing technologies related
to marketing attribution, lead routing, predictive lead scoring,
etc.
