Job Description:

Work with a leading NSW Government agency as a Project Manager- WHS. 12 months contract with a possible extension.Requirement:

• Experience in development and implementation of work health and safety management systems, initiatives and compliance frameworks, including developing policies, systems, processes, auditing and monitoring of program including the capacity to plan, manage change, consult effectively, improve performance and project manage.
• Organisational skills and experience working in a high volume and demanding professional environment with a capacity to prioritise competing demands and achieve results within a customer focused approach.
• Sound analytical skills including the ability to analyse and interpret information, prepare written reports, deal with challenges creatively and achieve business workplace safety solutions.
• Proven experience in conceptual, analytical, project management and problem solving skills for strategic business improvement
• Demonstrated experience in identifying and applying concepts, practices and developments to achieve continual workplace improvements
• Good Project Management skills - facilitating meetings, working to tight deadlines, managing risk register, vendor follow ups, managing key stakeholders
  • Provide advice and strategic input to project deliverables, to ensure they meet quality standards and comply with the strategies and architecture.
  • Ensure projects are managed in accordance with the best practice guidelines and the formal project management (PM) approach to ensure consistent and quality outcomes are achieved.
  • Manage projects by monitoring and reporting on project related trends and performance against project plans and budgets.
  • Enable informed decision making on project issues by developing timely and relevant written submissions, briefs, presentations and information papers for project stakeholders.
    • Ability to work with various teams/people/sites - Infrastructure, H&S, senior execs
    • Confident and clear communicator - both written & verbal
    • Tertiary or post graduate qualifications in Work Health and Safety or equivalent experience will be looked on favourably.
