yellowjacketreads.com.About the role:The National Account Manager,
Special Markets is responsible for building and maintaining strong,
long-term relationships with special markets buyers while
increasing sales, collaborating with the head of sales on
developing growth strategies, and regularly reporting on progress.
Our ideal candidate will be an experienced, results-driven, and
successful sales professional who will provide expertise and
management for sales primarily across specialty retail and
wholesale channels and to a lesser extent within the premium and
corporate sales markets.Essential Job Responsibilities:Core duties
and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be
assigned by management.Managing and growing existing accounts
across specialty retail, specialty wholesale, premium, and
corporate channels in the US and Canada.Growing Little Bee Books'
overall specialty account base by pursuing new business
opportunities and adding new accounts within the US and Canada to
achieve financial targets.Working closely with the head of sales on
growth strategies and regularly reporting on progress.Developing
new sales opportunities and leading project management for titles
in all imprints through custom, proprietary, and premium sales.
Building P&L statements to inform business decisions and
achieve maximum margin.Overseeing order management and fulfillment
with Little Bee Books' distribution partner.Curating and pitching
account-appropriate title lists for customers.Creating and
delivering regular account presentations and handling day-to-day
account business.Providing consistent, persistent, and progressive
follow-up on new business.Keeping apprised of trends in children's
publishing.Learning and regularly utilizing Little Bee Books'
internal systems for asset management, title data, and sales
reporting.Participating in interdepartmental acquisitions meetings
and providing perspective on the direction of overall
publishing.Collaborating internally with multiple departments to
help execute sales and influence future title acquisitions.Managing
sales goals and sales operation budgets.Minimum Job
Requirements:Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree from an
accredited college or university preferred, or college course work
and knowledge gained through equivalent work experience.It is
required that the candidate has a minimum of 3 years of experience
in special markets sales.Children's publishing sales experience is
strongly preferred.Proficiency in Microsoft Office.Up to 20% travel

supervision.What We Offer:Salary of $60,000 to $80,000 plus
benefits (commensurate with experience).Tuesdays and Thursdays are
in-office, and the rest of the week can be worked remotely or
