You will be responsible to lead Material Supply Planning at the ABB Richmond Facility for assigned Integrated Production units. To drive planning initiatives to improve customer on time delivery, and Lead-Time, for inventory and supply plan adherence.This position reports toProcurement & Logistics ManagerYour responsibilities

• Fulfillment Planning: Runs a short-term material planning process or S&OE process, connecting planning with execution
• Coordinates an appropriate response to unplanned events
• Supports the profitable execution of customer orders, in coordination with business functions and supply units (feeder factories)
• Leads regular discussions with supply units on inbound issues, planning parameters, reverse logistics, etc
• Establishes and shares best practices for operations planning, inventory management and resource management
• Technology: Provides local leadership for the development of best practices in planning systems and integrated ERPs
• Performs standard and ad hoc detailed analyses for planning & fulfillment metrics (inventory, on time delivery, lead time, forecast accuracy, resource utilization)
• People Leadership and Development: Leads local material planning function and ensures (with HR Manager support) that local planning teams are properly organized, staffed, and skilled and directed
• Guides, motivates and develops direct and indirect subordinates within HR (Human Resource) policies, for the benefit of both ABB and the employee
• Inventory Management: Ensures the right material inventory level is maintained, optimizing it according to the company's target while guaranteeing customer service level
• Reporting: Compiles and sends weekly/monthly report out to business leaders on planning and fulfillment and inventory performance.Your background
  • 5 years experience in a Material Planning or Manufacturing Environment OR a bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering, or related technical/STEM field of study with 2 years experience in a Material Planning or Manufacturing Environment
  • Experience in supplier relations, Supplier Management, thorough knowledge of planning tools, quality processes and understanding of commercial terms and standard planning procedures a plus
  • Strong analytical skills, Self motivated and strong communication and negotiation skills
  • SAP ERP Experience in the Production Module
  • Demonstrated ability to drive process improvement, rapidly respond to unforeseen developments and initiate actions to reduce adverse impact
  • APCIS certificate desirable
  • Strong SAP experience preferred
