Program Director of Personalized Recovery Oriented Services (PROS) Hamilton-Madison House (HMH) is the leading provider of behavioral health services for New York Citys Asian community and the second largest provider in the country. HMH serves nearly 1,000 community members through a comprehensive program model that understands and incorporates the strengths of individual cultures and addresses the stigma related to mental illness. Services range from psychological services; personalized recovery-oriented services for individuals with mental illness; recovery programming for addiction in six languages and seven dialects; supportive housing for people with mental health issues; and training and internship opportunities for graduate students in social work, mental health counseling, and psychology. Our team of over 40 full-time and 16 part-time staff speak Cantonese, Mandarin, Korean, Japanese, Vietnamese, and Cambodian. Hamilton-Madison House is recruiting for a full-time Director of the Personalized Recovery Oriented Services (PROS) program, a recovery program for adults with severe and persistent mental illness. The overall aim is to facilitate participants recovery and wellness through a comprehensive array of treatments and recovery services. The Director is responsible for the overall administration and clinical management of the program. He/she will work closely with senior management on program budgeting and general oversight of all services, reporting and programming. The Director is a member of the overall behavioral health management team and responsible for the development and expansion of the program to align with HMHs behavioral health goals and mission.Responsibilities:

  • Monitor all appropriate level of service requirements related to PROSpect Place
  • Provide intake assessments, individual and group psychotherapy, wrap-around case management services
  • Carry a caseload of a minimum of two program participants and facilitate a minimum of one weekly PROS group
  • Provide coaching and clinical supervision of PROS staff, and participate in in-house trainings to other programs in HMH
  • Recruit, hire and retain high performing staff and complete all performance appraisals
  • Develop and manage annual budget, maximize revenue and rectify denials
  • Assist masters and doctoral internship coordinators in the recruiting, interviewing and retaining interns as well as establish relationships and affiliation agreements with local and national academic institutions
  • Develop and modify the PROS policy and procedure manual and ensure all staff and interns have proper knowledge and understanding
  • Maintain appropriate documentations and reports according to established regulatory guidance in a consistent manner and submit reports when due
  • Coordinate relationships with mental health providers and facilitate appropriate referrals and intakes for PROSpect Place
  • Attend internal and external offsite and virtual provider meetings with various City and State regulatory agencies as deemed appropriate by AED of BH
  • Provide formal training curriculum to PROS staff/interns, workshop/seminars and other training activities and consultation to other HMH programs or outside agencies as needed
  • Participate in community education and outreach events, appropriate research projects and opportunities
  • Assist AED of BH with administration of the clinic operation, quality assurance, incident reviews, and regulatory audits
  • Any other duties deemed necessary by the AED of BH in the operation of PROSpect PlaceMinimum Qualifications:
    • Licensed Mental Health Counselor in psychology or related field
    • 2+ years of post-graduate clinical experience
    • Supervisory experiences
    • Bilingual English/Asian Language required
    • Knowledgeable of Lower East Side community providers and resources
    • Knowledgeable with screening, assessment and treatment planning for common mental health and/or substance use disorder
    • Excellent interpersonal, oral, written and communication skills to work with a multidisciplinary team
    • Prior community-based work experiences
    • Experience or interests in research and outreach
