Vice President, Human ResourcesApplegreen US Let us take your

is seeking to recruit a VP, HR who can work collaboratively with
the US Leadership team to translate business plans into people
plans, ultimately delivering on our key business goals for the
Applegreen US business.
The successful candidate will enable business transformation by
defining, and then implementing, the US HR strategy. The HR VP will
establish the structure of a high performing HR team and provide
high quality leadership to that team, while managing an efficient
function which delivers proactive and business focused HR advice
and services. The role will report to the President of Applegreens
US Travel Plaza Operations and will be based in our US headquarters
in Glen Rock, New Jersey. The candidate we seek will be responsible
for:As the Applegreen business grows, the responsibilities will
evolve and change over time. However, the core responsibilities
will center around the following areas: Design and oversee the
delivery of a HR strategy that attracts, retains and develops
high-performing individuals and teams to enable delivery of our
transformational growth strategy. Support the US Leadership Team in
strategic business planning by helping to identify, prioritize and
build organizational capabilities, behaviors, structures and
processes. Lead, enhance and manage the existing HR team to high
performance and to identify how the team grows and is structured to
deliver on our growth strategy Act as a culture champion in
promoting a high-performance culture across the business, using our
Applegreen values to drive business performance. Assume
responsibility for delivering a broad range of HR Services to
various internal stakeholders throughout the business, including
but not limited to talent management, recruiting, coaching,
learning and development, organization design, employee relations
support, compensation and benefits and diversity and inclusion.
Ensure key people services are delivered locally with the right
quality delivering great manager/employee experience. Ensure all HR
systems support analytics and reporting, to include metrics and
KPIs. Develop and provide guidance and interpretation for
HR-related policies and procedures for our corporate office and
travel plaza sites that ensure compliance with labor law
requirements and are consistent with our company culture
Develop/implement or adapt local policies to create an attractive
employer brand within boundaries of responsible cost management.
The Candidate should have the following: 8+ years progressive
experience in an HR leadership role Prior human resources
experience in multi-unit/multi state retail is essential. Proven
experience of developing and implementing fit for purpose HR
strategies with a focus on organizational design and improving
employee experience. Bachelors degree in human resources, business
or a related field. . Demonstrated experience as a positive
leadership role model of cultural change, capable of building and
coaching high performance teams and working across boundaries to
build organizational culture. Experienced in designing and
delivering a full range of HR solutions to meet organizational
needs. A passion for retail and excellence in customer standards A
strategic thinker with an entrepreneurial mindset and a can do
attitude Ability to lead teams, growing the capability and skillset
within the team, aligning with the business needs. Excellent drive,
enthusiasm and commitment and a keen interest in developing a
career at Applegreen. Exceptional interpersonal and communication
skills, with the ability to influence and build strong
relationships with internal and external colleagues and
stakeholders across the industry Detail orientated with ability to
also understand and see the broader impacts. Strong work ethic with
proven track record of delivering to tight deadlines and targets. A
dynamic individual who is adaptable and can thrive in a rapidly
growing organization. Be a self-starter, and also be able to work
collaboratively as a senior member of a highly interdependent team
across many parts of Applegreen. Resilient and calm under pressure.
