Overview
The Procurement & Vendor Management Specialist will lead the
development and execution of strategies for spending, pricing and
vendor selection that drive toward enhanced value and breakthrough
savings. This role reports to the Vice President of Operational
Strategy & Integration. The Analyst is responsible for managing a
group of categories, suppliers and contracts related to the support
of customer programs, initiatives, and projects. This role will
actively manage planning and execution of initiatives that result
in successful contracts that support the needs of our hotels. The
Analyst will oversee a portfolio of contracts and ensure the
suppliers meets their contract commitments and that hotels' needs
are being met
Responsibilities
- Provides subject matter expertise and detailed analysis from the
procurement perspective and establishes best-in-class class
procurement processes.
- Showcase keen business development skills to determine and
execute comprehensive solutions to meet short-term and long-term
supply chain management requirements.
- Perform in depth analysis, interpret data and present results
into actionable steps to senior leadership.
- Collaborate with key internal and external stakeholders in the
successful execution of activities related to implementing
contracts and projects.
- Understands and challenges technical specifications, commercial &
operational practices, and business processes with a focus on
driving cost reduction initiatives
- Identifies and develops new/current suppliers who have the
capacity and capability to meet the cost quality and service needs
of the business.
- Collaborates with the business on the development and reporting
of KPIs. Administer supplier assessments and other analytics to
manage supplier performance. Communicates with the supply chain on
all pertinent issues and expedites as required.
- Monitors and manages supplier service performance and ensures
sourcing decisions are consistent with company objectives.
- Responsible for commercial terms of contract lifecycle
process.
- Partners with the Legal team for contract review and
execution.
- Performs additional ad hoc projects and supports other categories
as required.
- Maintain a strong working relationship with Accounting,
Operations, and Operations Procurement to ensure seamless
integration between departments.
