Job Description:
Sr. IT Software Asset Management Specialist Moog Inc. is looking
for a Sr. IT Software Asset Management Specialist. As a Sr. IT
Software Asset Management Specialist, you will be responsible for
developing, leading, and improving the organization's software
asset management (SAM) program, including software license
compliance, asset utilization, and contract management. The Sr. IT
Software Asset Management Specialist will collaborate with other
departments to ensure that the organization is in compliance with
relevant laws and regulations and will provide guidance to other IT
asset management team members.
Responsibilities:
- Define, outline, and document policies, processes, and
standards around the appropriate selection, purchasing, use, and
monitoring of software assets throughout their lifecycle
- Develop and maintain the Software Asset inventories leveraging
Software Asset Management (SAM) and IT Service Management (ITSM)
systems and tools to provide a single source of truth for software
licensing consumed by the organization
- Inventory, monitor, and report on our major software license
agreements, maintenance agreements, and software subscriptions to
ensure compliance and adherence to our contractual
requirements
- Manage software license renewals for enterprise licensed
software titles, and partner with other IT leaders to advise on
renewal strategies as needed
- Drive software license audit remediation efforts in support of
both internal and external audit and compliance requirements
- Partner with IT Vendor Management, Finance, and other IT teams
to analyze and advise on costs associated with our major software
license agreements.
- Serve as a mentor and subject matter expert for other IT Asset
Management team members, providing coaching and support as needed
Minimum Qualifications:
- Typically, a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management
Information Systems, or related field
- Equivalent professional experience may be considered
- 5-7 years of experience in IT Asset Management, IT Vendor
Management, or related fields
- Strong -knowledge of IT Asset Management and IT Service
Management Platforms such as Snow License Manager, Flexera, or
ServiceNow
- Direct experience reviewing software license agreements or IT
contracts
- Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations related to software
assets, including software licensing agreements
- Excellent written and oral communication skills; demonstrated
competence communicating with all levels of the organization
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
- IT Asset Management or ITIL Certifications This position
requires access to United States Export Controlled information.
