Job Description:
Top academic hospital in Brooklyn looking for Division Director
for Palliative Medicine Department to work in a dynamic
administrative and clinical role. Job Function: Join and oversee
Hospice/Palliative team, 3 full time physicians, 1 part-time
physician Will build in ample administrative time for division
director based off who comes into role, opportunity to maintain
patient panel and clinical responsibilities - approx. 60% clinical,
40% protected admin time Might do some work at local nursing home
(Boro Park Rehab - owned by Centers across the street from
hospital) Monitor the academic progress of divisional faculty and
fellows - work including attending grand rounds, mentorship,
teaching, research, grant writing, etc. Faculty appointment through
local medical school (SUNY Downstate)
