Sells into both Energy-from-Waste (EfW) facilities and the expanding portfolio of environmental solutions providers. Develops relationships with prospective and existing waste generators and sells the CES non-hazardous industrial waste, hazardous waste, assured destruction, landfill avoidance, and other environmental services for the assigned geography, customers, and facilities. Coordinates with the Customer Service and Waste Approval teams to ensure all aspects of existing accounts are efficiently and effectively managed. Works closely with other Sales Managers to facilitate the sales process.Responsibilities:

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities to grow non-hazardous industrial waste and hazardous waste revenues for CES. Acquire new business in a 100% hunter role.
  • Input, communicate and oversee the monthly forecast and annual budget process for assigned facilities, direct accounts, and third-party environmental service companies.
  • Manage sales activities within Covanta's CRM program.
  • Follow established protocols regarding contracts, credit, pricing, procedures, and documentation.Requirements:
    • Undergraduate degree in Business, Marketing, Sales or equivalent experience.
    • Minimum 5+ years' experience in sales and account management, in the Hazardous or Non-Hazardous Waste industry preferred.
    • Experience entering sales activities within commercial CRM programs.
    • Ability to easily communicate the needs of the Covanta waste approval and facility operations processes to clients.
    • Ability to contribute both independently and in a team.
    • Ability to communicate the CES value proposition across all levels of the client organization.
    • Desire to work in a fast-paced, highly regulated, and technical industry.
    • Travel approximately 25% of the time, mostly in region.The expected annual base salary for this position is between $87,000 and $108,000 and there is a sales commission plan.This is a good-faith estimate of what we expect to pay for this position. The final salary figure will take into account a variety of factors including experience, ability and location.
