Overview

Job Purpose The New York Stock Exchange, a subsidiary of Intercontinental Exchange, Inc. (ICE) presents an opportunity for a full-time hands-on Manager to lead a small team of Data Science, AI and ML. The Manger will have experience in all phases of software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering, to design, coding, unit testing, debugging, and supporting in production. The candidate should have hands-on technical proficiency/problem solving as well as an eager attitude, professionalism, and solid communication skills. The successful candidate will lead Data Science, AI and ML team for NYSE. The ideal candidate should be knowledgeable in Programming languages, Trading data (or Financial Transaction data) processing, database systems and scripting languages. Strong written and oral communication as the applicant will frequently be interacting with the Business and Regulation team to achieve business goals. Responsibilities

• Manage the workload and deliverables of a core team of data science engineers.
• Work with project managers to compile a work breakdown structure of tasks for a given deliverable and provide realistic estimates for completing the assignment.
• Architect, Design, Develop and unit test all functionality created or modified according to software development best practices.
• Collaborate with other Developers and QA Engineers to execute full cycle integration, functional and regression testing.
• Promote software changes across all environments, safely and responsibly, through to Live Production.
• Participate in team exercises to identify and implement areas for continuous improvement.
• Continuously improve the system performance and propose better solutions.
• Effectively interact with business and operations for solving design and operational challenges.Knowledge and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
  • 10+ years of hands on development experience in Python, Java or C++ in data science domain.
  • 3+ years of experience in managing a team.
  • Experience in Statistical Analysis, Machine Learning and Gen AI
  • Experience in Python, Perl, Javascript or Shell Scripting
  • Experience in RDBMS, Oracle and MySQL or MSSQL
  • Experience in Spark SQL and PARQUET
  • Experience in Cloud computing and big data.
  • Experience in CI/CD tools.
  • Understanding of Messaging Queues and RESTful web services.
  • Experience in handling and supporting large scale Production systems.
  • Schedule This role offers work from home flexibility of one day per week. New York Base Salary Range The expected base salary for this role if located in New York City is between 170,000 - 226,600 USD. The base salary range does not include Intercontinental Exchange's incentive compensation. While we provide this range as general guidance, at ICE we compensate employees based on the skillset and experience of the individual.
