required (7.5HR/ DAY ) HAY POINTS: 1358 SALARY RANGE : $148,045 to
$ 193,562 DEADLINE: Open Until Filled S ummary This position will
lead the agency’s innovation strategy related to technology and
partnerships across capital projects. Responsible for all project
phases from this perspective and will be accountable for quality
and commercial matters. Responsibilities The Assistant Vice
President is responsible for developing and implementing C&D’s
innovation strategy to enable use of operating technology and
technology partnerships in capital projects throughout the MTA
system. P rovide vision and leadership for creating and
implementing an agency-wide framework to test, scale, and
institutionalize new tools and technologies across the
organization. Partner with MTA C&D Planning, Development, and
Delivery Business Units and MTA IT to identify asset areas prime
for disruption and launch innovative solutions. Test innovative
tools and methods and ensure strong governance and ROI around
pilots and investments. Coordinate adoption of cutting edge tools
and means & methods in construction, project management, and
delivery (e.g., AI, digital twins, modular construction, predictive
maintenance, automation). Coordinate with Delivery Services Office
to modernize specifications and design standards for
next-generation infrastructure. Forge partnerships with academic
and research institutions, established and emerging technology
firms, and peer agencies to identify best practices and shared
innovation opportunities. Work with MTA-Transit Tech Lab
partnership on new opportunities. Position C&D as industry
leader in construction innovation (e.g. launch annual MTA
Innovation Day). Build an internal culture that empowers staff at
all levels and departments to pilot new ideas. Collaborate with
internal departments, including Corporate Performance and Delivery
Services Office, to align with data-driven decision making and
modernized workflows. Serve as President's Office champion and lead
coordinator of public-private technology partnerships, including
but not limited to Boldyn subway cellular service buildout,
improving Railroad coverage, OMNY fare payment system. Manage staff
selection, coaching, training, development, evaluation, and
discipline/termination as needed. Create a professional environment
that respects individual differences and enables all employees to
develop and contribute to their full potential. E d ucation and
Experience Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture,
Construction or Project Management, Business Administration,
Transportation, Policy or a related field. Must have a minimum of
fourteen (14) years of related experience Must have a minimum of
ten (10) years in a program management or supervisory role in a
large, multi-faceted organization. Competencies: Must be a proven
leader as a change agent and creative/innovative thinker with the
ability to align business goals with solutions to drive process
improvements. Significant experience in program management for
major construction programs with highly complex systems i s
preferred. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated ability to build relationships and work
collaboratively with stakeholders at all internal organizational
levels . Demonstrated ability to work in a high - profile, high -
pressure environment effectively. Must have focus and ability to
deliver results, organizational effectiveness, and continuous
improvement. Must possess excellent team - building , listening,
problem - solving, and prioritization skills. Other Information
