Chief Officer, Customer Relations Work Location: 2 Broadway, New
York Hours of Work: As required Compensation $147,829 - $184,786
(GEN 010) Responsibilities The incumbent is responsible for
developing, managing, and distributing the fare media for several
unique public transportation programs. These programs include
Student MetroCards, Fair Fares program and CUNY Accelerated Study
in Associate Program (ASAP). Manage specialized fare media for
NYPD, FDNY, Port Authority Police, District Attorney, and other
emergency services. Additionally, manage other paper tickets
utilized systemwide such as Certificates of Free Transportation for
Department of Education (DOE) and Youth and Community Development
and the magnetic and paper bus transfer contract and procurement.
Education and Experience 1. A baccalaureate degree from an
accredited college or university in Business Administration,
Accounting, System Analysis, or a related field and ten (10) years
of full-time, paid, related experience, and at least five (5) years
of which must have been in a managerial/supervisory/administrative
capacity; or 2. A satisfactory equivalent of education and/or
experience. Desired Skills • Knowledge of Fare Media, Reduced Fare
and Customer Claims operations. • Experience in contract
management, strategic business planning and financial control
accounting. • Knowledge of fare pricing, smartcard technology and
OMNY systems. • Strong managerial and leadership skills. • Strong
analytical, mathematical and problem-solving skills. • Ability to
meet deadlines and exercise good judgment. • Excellent verbal and
written communication skills. • Excellent PC skills including
knowledge of Microsoft Word. Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and
Crystal. • Excellent telephone communication and sensitivity
skills. • Ability to work in high volume environment. Selection
