Job Description: Reporting to the SVP, Financial Services, The Vice President will be a hands-on leader leading customer solutions and sales engagement. Creating a vision and strategy, scaling operations, developing management talent, and defining and installing robust processes and standards are just a few of the challenges that will need to be accomplished to advance the organization into global world-class technology provider. Serve as a credible, knowledgeable, and strategic leader with our existing customers and new opportunities. Lead and oversee the solutions in the financial services market (Capital Markets, Hedge funds, Banking, Payment Solutions, Private Equity, Risk Management, etc.) This position works with senior management to drive thought leadership to effectively operate and grow the business. The Vice President, financial solutions oversees staff and provides leadership to ensure deliverables meet or exceed client and organizational requirements. This role also manages a budget to ensure profitability goals are met or exceeded and will help to develop new business to support growth projections. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Account Management Provide technology thought leadership to Company customers in in the capital markets. Work with sales to engage new customers on their needs and provide high level technology solutions. Grow and expand the business through managing strategic client relationships. Develop and maintain strong relationships with appropriate client contacts, including key operational counterparts and other critical decision makers and influencers. Work with direct reports to develop and execute a strategic growth plan for each assigned account. Oversee the business development process specific to each assigned strategic account to identify each client’s unmet needs, expand utilization of our services, launch new services into the accounts, innovate new service offerings specific to the needs of the account and assist the operations team in relationship management, client communication and issue resolution. Visit designated accounts in a manner and frequency that is consistent with its strategic growth plan. Regularly monitor and analyze industry news related to key accounts, assess the impact to our strategic growth plan and appropriately communicate opportunities, challenges and course-corrections. In partnership with operational leadership and other relevant Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), drive regular business reviews (quarterly unless otherwise defined by the client) with assigned accounts. Provide broad technology leadership and management, delivering world class applications and infrastructure, for both internal and external clients Deliver subject matter expert (SME) advice, across organizational levels, establishing roadmaps for process, technology and business improvement Focus on accelerating implementations and speed to market, providing prescriptive approaches, advancing best practices, generating greater ROI Handle business case justifications and overall cost/benefit analysis Produce clear total cost of ownership (TCO) and run rate financials Execute gap analysis then create application, infrastructure and/or business projects to achieve the future state goals Work within multiple lines of business in a shared services structure Develop key performance indicator frameworks (KPI) used to report delivery success, business value, technical aspects and financial investments Business Unit and Team Management Lead a team of Sr. Directors and/or Directors responsible for client accounts, ensuring strong customer relationships are built, appropriate execution of program operations is delivered, and service levels and contractual obligations are met. Work with management team to help identify skills that are needed for programs, projects or work activities and match skill requirements with talent. Develop performance standards for management team and measure success against performance standards. Recruit, train and develop senior leaders for advancement across the business to include succession planning. Ability to oversee teams across multiple locations. Business Development Engage in client contracting discussions and negotiations, in partnership with Operations, Finance, Legal and senior leadership, as appropriate. Partner with cross functional organizational departments to support business growth to create innovative business expansion and/or new services. Engage the appropriate SMEs to master the demonstration / presentation of our key services with an emphasis on our high growth services identified in our strategic plan. Establish goals & objectives for business unit growth Financial Accountability Manage the budget for client accounts, including P&L responsibility. Provide overall financial direction for business unit through managing the development of budgets, controls and measurements to monitor progress. Approve purchases, contracting, expenses, and may manage vendor relationships. Allocate people and financial resources as appropriate to ensure objectives are accomplished. Search and pursue revenue generation opportunities and effectively manage to ensure that new revenue is realized. Train managers on financial acumen for their accounts. Quality and Compliance Overall responsibility for timeliness, accuracy, and completeness of all services by way of leadership of program teams and in collaboration with other critical functions (Quality Center of Excellence, Governance, Risk & Compliance). Identify areas for risk Foster proactive, continued quality improvement. Maintain highest integrity and honesty in all business activities. Organizational Leadership Develop and execute strategic goals, strategies and plans to support both Operations and the Organization’s short-term and long-term strategic plans. Cultivate the company culture to include embracing and fostering company values. Support company programs and initiatives. Adhere to company policies and procedures. Represent the company to associates and the public. Identify and collaborate with internal and external resources and experts. EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in a related field of study required or equivalent combination of experience and education. Normally requires a minimum of 12+ years of experience in technology and financial services. MINIMUM SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS: Demonstrated experience leading, growing and developing a team at a senior level. 10+ years of demonstrated knowledge of the financial services sector. Extensive knowledge in the financial services vertical including capital markets, private equity, risk management, banking, mortgage, etc. Must have a minimum of 15 years of recent and relevant IT work experience. 7+ years of experience managing large scale, customer-facing Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solutions. 3+ years of proven experience in Cloud Computing software stack along with proven experience with public and hybrid cloud providers (AWS, Azure, Rackspace, etc.) 10+ years of experience managing enterprise solutions. Knowledge of IT infrastructure organizational structure, workflow, and operating procedures. Ability to direct multi-department technical and administrative staff. Demonstrated ability to think strategically and influence key decision-makers and highly technical resources. Demonstrated ability to apply critical thinking skills, technical ingenuity, creativity, and resourcefulness. Must demonstrate the ability to integrate work across relevant areas, develop the business and service to enhance customer satisfaction and productivity, manage risks, develop and execute business plans, manage information, and provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers. Must demonstrate effective project planning, decision making, results delivery, and willingness to stay current with relevant technology and innovation. Must demonstrate strong ethics, influence, and negotiation, leadership, interpersonal skills, communication, and the ability to effectively manage stress and engage in continuous learning. Strong business and financial acumen skills. Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to establish relationships and build rapport at all levels of the organization. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Advanced proficiency with all Microsoft Office products. The ability to manage multiple tasks along a parallel process. Ability to resolve associate issues effectively and efficiently. Critical thinking skills. 25-50% travel
