Company’s Executive Search business is the largest component of our People & Process practice which also provides organizational strategy & design, talent assessment and leadership development services to our clients. The Executive Search business focuses on retained executive search strategy & execution for Board, C-Suite, and EVP/SVP/VP roles across our client base and ecosystem.

The Vice President will lead Executive Search engagements, and provide support and guidance on talent-related matters to Company’s clients and partners in the Advisory practice. S/He will execute and oversee executive search engagements with clients nationally to solve their strategic talent needs, bringing expert understanding of the challenges facing these organizations.

Additionally, this member of the team will work in collaboration with both the MD & SVP of Executive Search, as well as Company’s senior executives across all lines of business, to identify, cultivate, and close opportunities to provide retained executive search and other talent-related services to our clients. As well as leveraging his or her own network and targeted research, s/he will have the opportunity to participate in business development efforts to source executive search opportunities outside of Company’s existing relationships.

• In partnership with both the MD & SVP, Executive Search, establish high quality search assignments with top performing companies within the media, advertising, entertainment and technology industries
• Build strong relationships and proactively partner with key decision makers within Company’s Advisory practice to develop new business and to gain deeper insight into our clients and the needs of their businesses
• With our clients, develop an effective and compelling presentation to market each opportunity and client company to prospective candidates
• Working with the assigned engagement team, develop and implement the sourcing strategy for each search; source, represent, and present the client opportunity to desired and targeted candidates
• Understand the client position thoroughly, and execute accordingly, screening candidates for the position “fit”, from a content and functional perspective
• Proactively network and seek out candidates in an expeditious and most cost-effective manner
• Manage all candidates through the selection process, providing a high level of candidate care
• Qualify candidates for cultural, financial and experience fit, utilizing a behavior based interview approach based on the core competencies identified with client
• Leverage business and client networks to market opportunities, as well as further develop Company’s Executive Search relationship in market to source engagement opportunities

• Considerable formal experience in retained search or executive recruitment process from lead generation to offer stage
• Solid understanding and at least some experience in the startup, mid-tier, and enterprise business world as well as the Fortune 100s
• Strong knowledge of organizational design and structures
• Current on the latest trends in technology, especially around emerging media and technology platforms
• Excellent communication skills; articulate, persuasive and able to communicate difficult and complex matters in a straightforward, transparent manner
• High level of personal integrity, and the ability to professionally handle confidential matters and exude the appropriate level of judgment and maturity
• Excellent interpersonal skills; and the ability to communicate risk-related concepts to a variety of audiences and stakeholders
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment. Able to make sound decisions and function confidently in the grey spaces when needed.
• Must be a critical thinker with strong problem-solving skills and an ability to tackle complex projects in a compressed time frame
• Demonstrated ability to take a company point of view, knowing the balance between being the ultimate decision maker, being a solution seeker, and being a problem identifier (while evaluating and presenting alternatives).
• Empathetic and able to build strong business relationships with a wide variety of personality types
• Team orientated, contributing to a collegial, collaborative environment.
