Amazon is building a world class advertising business and we are responsible for defining and delivering a collection of self-service performance advertising products that drive discovery and sales. Our products are strategically important to our Retail and Marketplace businesses driving long term growth. We deliver billions of ad impressions and millions of clicks daily and are breaking fresh ground to create world-class products.
Amazon's Advertiser Experience and Demand team is seeking a Senior Manager ' Biz/Tech to own the Amazon Campaign Planning and Creation products and technology. Amazon's product team focused on advertiser demand generation is at the beginning of building a single technology stack to support WW Ads campaign creation across all ad products (both directly for select products and via federated development for the organization as a whole) and a large scale, algorithmically driven planning system. Among other challenges, the team owns where, when, and to whom we serve advertising. The team is a part of a broader organization that is responsible for the frontend experience and technologies used by advertisers and internal teams building for advertisers. The team manages the experiences for multiple advertising programs such as Performance Advertising, Brand Advertising, Native Advertising, Merchandising, etc. We own a range of client technologies as well as front end web services. The Advertiser Experience and Demand team is an essential contributor to the overall advertising organization and its work is seen by thousands of advertisers who are advertising across Amazon properties as well as third-party publishers.

As a Senior Manager you will be responsible for:
-- Increasing demand across the range of products in WW Ads including key input targets and relevant financial outputs
-- Working with product supply and utilization teams to ensure we are building a healthy ad marketplace
-- Managing and developing product management and software engineering teams. With a growing team you will need to hire and develop your leadership team to scale the organization.
-- Scaling the team and technology to support new initiatives and optimize existing businesses through a combination of directly-owned initiatives and federated development.
-- Identifying and implementing opportunities to scale technical solutions beyond Amazon. As we look to the future there are opportunities to scale our solutions broadly. As the leader of self-service product-based demand generation you will own crafting and implanting that vision.
-- The successful candidate must have exceptional problem solving skills, strong business judgment, and demonstrated experience managing cross-functional teams. We are looking for a proven ability to execute both strategically and tactically, and someone who is excited to take on new, ambiguous projects.
-- Developing product vision and strategy by working backwards from the customer
-- Managing products through initial launch and follow-on releases
-- Identifying dependencies and clearing blockers
-- Writing business cases and producing financial models for key strategic projects
-- Providing in-depth industry and opportunity analysis
-- Leading team building out product requirements, doing the engineering to deliver on requirements, and running lifecycle marketing to adopt the features
-- Defining the success metrics for features or services and track performance
-- Managing partner relationships and ongoing programs














Basic Qualifications









  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent
  • A passionate advocate for customers and their needs
  • 15+ years software, technology, program or product management experience preferably with internet business experience;
  • 10+ years Product Management and Marketing experience
  • 7+ years leading leaders
  • 3+ years of experience in online advertising and ad technologies
  • Track record of completing medium to large-scale projects from initiation to delivery
  • Ability to establish and manage projects and initiatives against a set of key metrics and goals
  • Demonstrated experience using testing methods (A/B, focus groups) to evolve products and/or marketing campaign performance
  • Strong analytical, project management and organizational skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities: must effectively communicate with technical and non-technical people
  • Willingness to roll up your sleeves and do whatever is necessary; general manager / owner mentality and an entrepreneurial drive; demonstrated ability to have fun and inspire team













    Preferred Qualifications









    • An MBA or advanced degree is preferred
    • Experience in online advertising or web-based technologies
    • Passionate about generating big, creative ideas to differentiate in the market, growing the business and working with advertisers and agencies to build innovative products
    • Analytical and able to create sound business arguments backed up by data
    • Ability to lead and influence across different organizations and align diverse teams to a common goal
    • Handle multiple contending priorities in an energizing environment
    • Willing to think and act both strategically and tactically
