Job Description:

We currently have a career opportunity for a NY Chief Operating Officer. This position supports Company Risk Solutions US Retail for New York. JOB OVERVIEW The NY COO will have a dual reporting relationship to the NY Manager and the COO of U.S. Retail. He/She is responsible for delivering optimal results through the successful deployment and the execution of initiatives that support ARS US Retail strategy (e.g. Client Promise, Limit of Liability, Broking lever compliance, ACL, Policy Intake, revenue management, and Delivery utilization, etc.). He/She will help to enable colleagues to deliver value to clients, colleagues and carriers by helping, their home office and offices in their region, optimize operations, allocate resources appropriately and grow PTI in the region. The NY COO will specifically need to address issues around client satisfaction, margin improvement and growth while simultaneously instilling a discipline of performance metrics that drive efficiency, effective delivery and revenue growth. He/She will need to possess detailed knowledge of the business and Company’s internal processes and procedures to drive the organization to higher level of performance. The NY COO will have intermediate milestones and specific measures around: Assisting the business in driving new growth and expanding margin Help NY leader fulfill all of the talent and engagement agenda initiatives Responsible for delivering optimal results through implementation and coordination of key operational business initiatives. Deliver solutions to help free up resources in order to sell new business and develop client relationships Implement E&O mitigation initiatives Strengthen business continuity and compliance programs Drive tangible expense reductions Manage the appropriate allocation of resources in the region to include physical assets, real estate, and staffing models for office staff and practice groups (e.g. account executives and broking). Driver of key change and transformation initiatives identified by senior management Implement operational objectives agreed to by USR leadership Assist in the execution of Information Technologies (IT) strategy KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & DELIVERABLES Collaborate with leadership team and leverage best practices to help respective region and ARS achieve goals Assist NY Manager in fulfilling all of the talent and engagement initiatives including developing stronger objectives, measurement and success criteria Drive initiatives that grow spread, expand margin and where appropriate help in the execution of revenue generation. Current examples include: Manage and optimize the operations within the region for effective and compliant delivery for our clients and shareholders. Current examples include: Oversight of the Business Continuity Plan and GEOC Executive Interface NY Revenue targets NY SPTI targets Goal Setting Talent Review Performance Mgmt. Retention of high performers Improve cash managed through management of timely invoices, receivable collection, and limiting installments on Fees. Increase compliance in alternative revenue like the DAC charges Reduction in fee installments Work to increase SFDC pipeline to support forecast Increase SAR and Client promise LOL compliance Leverage centralized GRIP entry team Policy Review and delivery Maximize ACL utilization QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field; MBA preferred Minimum of 8 -12 years of senior management or operational management experience Demonstrated leadership and revenue growth success Ability to use expertise to develop strategic operating plans and execute business unit initiatives Strong project management, organizational and communication skills Strong analytical skills with ability to provide insight and recommendations Financial management experience in the creation and management of budgets and implementation of financial controls Understand key drivers of profitability and operational performance Provide input on Company-wide plans and polices of strategic importance Ability to work in a complex global matrix environment with a mix of functional, business and geographic leaders
