POSITION SUMMARY:

As a key leader within the Human Resources and Employee Communications Team, the VP, Employee Communications & Engagement will lead and be responsible for: Company’s employee engagement and communications strategy Overseeing internal communications for Company’s businesses and corporate functions Leadership of communications for major organizational changes and issues Serve as member of the HR and Employee Communications Leadership Team Develop/deliver on all executive communications platforms Develop and implement programs to engage employees; partner with Talent Management regarding messages and engagement strategies stemming from the Employee Engagement Survey Foster the reputation of Company as a great place to work, internally and externally; raise public awareness of Company’s brand, priorities and culture Utilize metrics for Company’s employee communications to develop and hone communication strategies Seek opportunities to celebrate and promote internal clients’ news and success stories Lead team of communication professionals and focus on individual and team development KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: Design the consolidated enterprise Employee Communications function responsible for messages to Company’s employees Develop and implement a holistic internal communications strategy to increase employee awareness, understanding of and participation in company and business strategies Assess the impact of significant programs or changes to stakeholders and develop and comprehensive communications plan for each as needed, reflecting each audience’s specific needs and issues Apply a consultative approach by coaching and advising leaders on regular and consistent communication methodology and cadence that maintains or enhances employee engagement in the state of the business and progress against goals Counsel and advise internal clients on effective use of multiple channels, including intranet, town hall meetings, video podcasts, email and face-to-face sessions based on message and audience needs Provide strategy for communication announcements to the enterprise Continually identify best practices and innovative ways to deliver content to various audiences Collaborate with media-relations team to identify and leverage significant “outside” news and speaking events that our employees need to know about Develop stakeholder strategies that promote our compelling brand, specifically as it aligns to our employee value proposition and internal engagement messages. QUALIFICATIONS:

Required: BA/BS degree required 12+ years of communications and/or marketing experience, including experience leading internal communication strategies and teams Writing and editing experience Desired: MBA Experience developing and executing on communication strategies that support major organizational changes Experience consulting internal clients on their communication opportunities Experience managing multiple, simultaneous projects Experience developing and executing on communication strategies that support major organizational changes Self-starter and ability to work well within diverse groups, be a team player, possess analytical and “client service” skills and critical thinking Ability to influence and collaborate senior leadership MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel, SharePoint experience
