Job no: 492349 Work type: Full-time exempt Location: Chester Categories: Administrative (Exempt) Position Summary: The Director of Admissions and Enrollment provides strategic leadership and vision to enable the University to attract, recruit and enroll graduate and adult learning students. The Director is responsible for development of an effective recruitment and admission strategy, supervision of staff, implementation of admission policies/standards and successful enrollment and transition of new students. Duties also include development of strategies to enroll newly admitted students and retention of continuing students. Duties and Responsibilities: (include but are not limited to) * Develop recruitment strategy to meet inquiry, application, admission, and yield targets for all programs, including recruitment of individuals and organizational partnerships and establishment of prospect pools to ensure that quality and quantity of applicants are met or exceeded. * Use existing data and enrollment projections to determine inquiry, application and admission goals for all graduate and adult learning programs. * Work collaboratively with faculty Graduate Program Directors across the University to develop and execute central recruitment and admissions strategies. * Leads and supervises a staff of eight, including CRM Administrator, Associate Director, Assistant Director, four admission specialists and an administrative secretary. * In collaboration with CRM Administrator/Data Analyst, develop a communications strategy to effectively move inquiries and applicants through the admission process. * Survey and analyze feedback from prospects, applicants, and admits. * Assess effectiveness of recruitment and communication strategy for prospects and applicants. * Work with unit and Marketing staff to revise web site and social media channels consistent with recruitment and enrollment goals. * Review applications for admission and render decisions in accordance with program policies and standards. * Develop strategy for external partnerships to increase graduate and adult learning enrollment. * Manage unit admissions, recruitment and outreach staff, including assigning duties, evaluating performance, and ensuring all staff members receive appropriate training and professional development opportunities. * Oversee admission credential waiver policy. * Conduct and compile results of Admitted Student Surveys * Develop and direct University-wide graduate student orientation program to ensure a seamless transition for new students and provides a foundation for student retention and persistence. * Manage outreach program to increase continuous enrollment of graduate students throughout their programs. * Work with Graduate Program Directors and academic advisors to ensure successful transition from admit to enrolled students. * Collaborate with University partners, including Marketing and Communications and Enrollment Services to ensure consistent messaging and service follow-through. * Monitor international, national and state-wide educational and enrollment trends. * Direct admission process for international applicants to graduate programs. * Travel on behalf of the University is required. Some weekend and evening hours required. * Perform other duties as assigned to support enrollment success at the University. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS * Demonstrated ability to cultivate collaborative relationships with internal and external constituencies. * Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality. * Ability to work effectively with diverse populations. * Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Must be able to handle multiple tasks, identify priorities, and maintain attention to details. * Computer literacy required. * Must understand FERPA and confidentiality requirements. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: (Education/Training and Experience Required) Required * Master's degree and six (6+) years admissions experience. * Knowledge of a CRM as an admissions tool; preference for experience with Slate CRM. * Strong expertise in recruitment and admission operations. * Exceptional management experience and administrative skills. * Excellent oral, written, customer service, and interpersonal skills are required. * Strong analytical, problem solving and leadership skills are essential. * Ability to manage complex processes and procedures with attention to detail and accuracy. * Experience supervising professional staff. Physical Requirements and/or Unusual Work Hours: * Usual office environment; heavy walk-in traffic; high level of interaction with others in person electronically or via telephone. * Ability to be mobile between workstation and various campus buildings * Ability to travel within a 100 mile radius * Valid driver's license * Occasional evening/weekend work may be required Advertised: 27 Mar 2019 Eastern Daylight Time Applications close:SDL2017
