Job Description Our IT team operates as a business partner proposing ideas and innovative solutions that enable new organizational capabilities. We collaborate internationally to deliver the services and solutions that help everyone to be more productive and enable innovation. Following the 2017 cyber incident, a new role was established to support the Enterprise Resiliency Program, a corporate-wide business initiative designed to reduce the likelihood and/or impact of future incidents. This role is responsible for leading and coordinating all aspects of this major initiative which is made of up 39 projects and 2 modernization programs. The incumbent is also responsible for the management, integration and continued sustainability of all components that make up technology related resiliency for our Company; which includes but is not limited to: cybersecurity, infrastructure and application modernization, enterprise disaster recovery, and business continuity planning. The leader must ensure that the projects meet the key risk reduction goals while minimizing the impact to business operations and employee productivity. Enterprise resiliency is designed to protect and segment our business capabilities as well as to improve the capabilities that will accelerate future recovery efforts and provide continuity of operations during times of technology disruption (agnostic of cause). Given the scope and cross-company interdependencies, implementation requires the alignment of activities across all aspects of the company. This role leads, drives and facilitates the cross-divisional coordination and sponsorship of these efforts. The role also authors all management reporting (Governance, Executive Committee, Board of Directors, etc.) on the status of resiliency. This incumbent will partner closely with the head of the Corporate Strategy Office, Chief Information Officer, Chief Information Security Officer, Chief Technology Officer, Divisional IT leaders and all Divisional Resiliency sponsors to drive technology related resiliency for the company. The leader will conduct and/or assist in briefing the EC and other key stakeholders across the company. Responsibilities include: - Holds delivery and project leads held accountable to raise risks early and leverage sponsorship up through governance and EC to mitigate risks and issues to keep the program on track. - Lead execution meetings with program theme leads (e.g., identity and access management, network segmentation, our Manufacturing Division modernization, etc.) and identified resiliency leads (e.g., cybersecurity, modernization, disaster recovery) to ensure transparency into risks, issues, progress, cross project interdependency identification and proposed exceptions. - Manages established status tracking mechanisms to show progress to plan, risks/issues and ensure the master program plan is integrated with detailed project plans. - Provides independent perspective to the audit team and project leads to ensure all resiliency related assessments fairly reflect the input from our 3rd party cyber security partners and the intent of the commitments in the project contracts. - Lead author of all governance, Executive Committee and Board of Director Audit Committee updates. - Leads and drives the communication and change management strategy and for all program stakeholders. - Translates the company resiliency strategy to actionable plans that are measured against agreed upon baselines and metrics. - Authors Resiliency Operational Review content for the CISO, CTO, CIO and Executive Committee leveraging key leading and lagging KPIs . The incumbent will be expected to: - have demonstrated strong leadership skills at the enterprise level. - be well networked across all divisions to bring the right people to the negotiating table when business decisions are needed. - experienced in the principles of Project and Portfolio Management and must be able to apply these skills effectively, with relatively broad managerial direction and minimal oversight, to the management of resiliency projects that have significant impact to the employee base or large groups of stakeholders (e.g., Crown Jewel Application owners and managers). This role will be required to independently manage, innovate and continually improve how we execute the company resiliency strategy. - lead and / or actively participate in new resiliency related initiatives (e.g., 3rd party supplier management, digital enablement, etc.) within our Company - take a pragmatic approach to managing this responsibility that balances protecting the company with our ability to operate efficiently. Education: - Bachelor's degree required with a concentration in a scientific-related discipline strongly preferred. - Advanced scientific or business degree preferred. Experience and Skills: - 10 years of experience in pharma and/or biotech required. - Must have extensive experience with the planning and execution of enterprise strategies - Problem solving skills are essential to be effective in this role - Demonstrated ability to establish networks, build connections and work across boundaries - Proven ability to analyze, integrate, recommend, contribute to development of conceptual plans for, and lead the implementation of strategic, process, and team improvement and change initiatives cross-functionally. - Demonstrated ability to effectively manage scope, time and cost of assigned projects; is business savvy and results oriented. - Effective at conveying a vision, energizing others, establishing goals, delegating responsibility, mentoring and coaching. - Well-developed and effective team facilitation and leadership skills; consistently establishes cooperative team environments. - Knows when and how to appropriately raise issues and drive discussion within peer group and with senior management. - Demonstrated courage of conviction - able to speak up / contribute in all circles; comfortable challenging ideas or proposals, including senior management. - Brings forward creative ideas and contributes to setting strategic plans for assigned projects and department. - Excellent communicator.
