Nice-Pak Products, Inc. (NP) is the global developer, manufacturer and marketer of pre-moistened wipes for the consumer market, specializing in personal care, hygiene, household cleaning and disinfection products.

We're currently looking for a Global Director, Responsibility and Sustainability in our Orangeburg, NY location.

POSITION PURPOSE:

A fourth-generation family-owned business, Nice-Pak promotes health and wellness through safe and effective cleaning and hygiene and is committed to meet the growing demand for wet wipe solutions through business practices that respect the environment. This position is responsible for leading Nice-Pak s global corporate responsibility and sustainability initiatives and influencing the business to drive CSR as a core business principle through strategy development/execution, business process integration, training, employee engagement, data capture and reporting, and impact measurement. He/she will be a key contributor to topline growth by supporting sustainable product innovation goals and customer expectations and will impact EBIDTA through continuous improvement on global resource efficiency, processes and policies.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES:

* Act as chairperson of the cross-functional CSR Steering Committee, helping to set and achieve environmental metric goals and develop a strategic roadmap for the program
* Collaborate closely and form strong relationships with global sourcing, supply chain, EHS, and manufacturing site directors to gain buy-in for continuous improvement strategies, monitor performance, and provide subject matter expertise on sustainability issues across multiple sites in the U.S. and Europe
* Partner with operations associates worldwide to identify creative ways in which the company can balance business obligations with the goal of respecting, supporting, and improving the local and global environments
* Responsible for generating innovative ideas and processes; this includes researching and piloting emerging technologies and innovative strategies that address various environmental concerns including consumer health and safety, climate and energy, sustainable forestry, waste reduction, pollution, packaging, water use, building and facility design, and general education on sustainability
* Contribute corporate responsibility/sustainability value-add to sales and marketing processes, e.g. customer meetings, surveys and bid submissions
* Consider sustainability proposals with attention to factors such as cost effectiveness, feasibility, and ease of integration with other programs
* Hold meetings, review impact reports and results, and conduct ongoing evaluation and reporting of programs to senior management, including progress against objectives, budget, environmental/community impact
* Make frequent site visits and participate in local community meetings and events to share mission, strategy and results of programs
* Work with Corporate Communications to deliver external and internal campaigns, and collaborate as a major stakeholder in the CSR reporting process
* Ensure authenticity of impact claims and compliance with all applicable local, state, federal, and internal environmental laws and regulations
* Act as the subject matter expert and brand ambassador for Nice-Pak both internally, and with external stakeholders including customers, industry groups, NGO s, media and third-party certification bodies

Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:
* Bachelor s degree in related field required; Master s degree and/or relevant certification programs in sustainability/CSR preferred

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:

* In-depth knowledge of sustainability practices, certification standards and applicable laws and regulations, ideally gained through experience in a similar role
* Advanced project management and quantitative analysis
* Familiarity and/or direct experience conducting life cycle assessments, cost-benefit analysis
* Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
* Ability to create, interpret, and execute a budget
* Presentation skills required to deliver reports and proposals to various stakeholders including senior level management, manufacturing teams, sales/marketing and customers
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
* Knowledge of Consumer-Packaged Goods industry

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
* Minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience; ideally manufacturing operations or supply chain management within consumer goods with focus on sustainable practices
* Proven track record in planning and managing projects end-to-end with minimal day-to-day supervision

Travel: approx. 30% (includes international)
