Job DescriptionPrimary Purpose:----Under limited direction of the Government Property Manager, individual will perform the spectrum of Contractor required activities illustrated in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) part 45 and 52.245-1.-- Primary duties will include physical inventories, updating property records, resolving unlocated property incidents, and contract closeout activities.Duties and Responsibilities:Physical InventoryPerform regular physical inventory of Sponsor owned Government PropertyUpdate electronic property record during physical inventory scanPerform pre and post inventory audits in order to determine inventory effectivenessEffectively coordinate inventory activities with staff members so as to minimize operational disruption and maximize inventory effectivenessUpdate property records when new information is received from users, custodians, and project managersProperty ManagementAssist Program and Project Managers (or their designees) in the effective management of Government and Company propertyIdentify Government Property by screening incoming and outgoing shipmentsAssign Government Property to contracts in electronic property record by correctly identifying cost accounting code or other qualifying attributes of the propertyInput and update required information in Sunflower electronic property databaseOrganize, update, and file physical recordsPrepare and affix asset tags to Government and Company propertyPerform disposition activities of Government PropertyLocate specific items of property in the facility when necessaryAssist in annual equipment calibration campaignsAssist in fleet management duties for company owned vehiclesMaintain professional certification by completing required number of continuing education units as determined by the National Property Management AssociationShipping & ReceivingAssist Shipping & Receiving personnel by identifying and facilitating receival of-- Government Furnished PropertyResearch and identify the purpose for Government Furnished Property and document in accordance with existing policies and procedures----Prepare shipping documents (DD250, DD1149, BOL, labels, ect)Assist Shipping & Receiving personnel when delivery of Government Property requires special handling or processingSkills and Knowledge:Exemplify the values of flexibility, respect, teamwork and excellenceStrong customer service skills and client focusMust demonstrate effective agility in meeting deadlines and adjusting work expectations to meet emerging business requirementsAbility to independently recognize, trouble-shoot and resolve problemsAbility to follow precise written and verbal instruction and conduct work with strong attention to detailAbility to operate equipment such as forklifts, pallet trucks, dock boards and vacuum lift systemsKnowledge of FAR, DFAR and government contractingKnowledge of Microsoft software applications and other software applications as required, including Microsoft SharePointValid state driver---s license.-- Some off-site travel will be requiredMinimum Education and Experience:High School diploma and 8-10 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education, skills and experienceAdditional Desired Skills:Documented experience in government, military, contractor or electronic manufacturing environment.National Property Management Association certification strongly desiredKnowledge of DELTEK or project time trackingFamiliarity with Sunflower administration and operationThere is no clearance requirement to begin employment.
