Recruitment Pool All Applicants Anticipated Hiring Range $17.00-$20.00 Campus MCV Campus Position Type Hourly Hours/Week up to 29 hrs/wk Normal work days M-F Normal work hours 8-5 Job Category Administrative/ Secretarial/ Clerical Does this position provide patient or clinical services to the VCU Health System? Yes Does this position require a pre-placement medical assessment? No Is any portion of this position grant-funded? No Sensitive Position Yes- A pre-employment fingerprint background check will be required. Resource Critical No Description of the Job Interview and assist clients with applications for Emergency Medicaid. Screen for Perinatal Access Program eligibility. Create a medical record and enter data into Cerner and IDX . Schedule appointments for PAP patients and relays information to patients. Communicates with staff at local agencies and organizations regarding client applications. Notifies approval/denial of Medicaid to VCUHS Financial Screening/Billing. Required Qualifications Proficiency in Spanish, both oral and written. Must have strong extensive knowledge of Medicaid regulations/policies. Excellent communication skills. Strong organizational skills, time management, and ability to meet deadlines. Experience with patient interviewing and basic medical terminology. The ability to work in a diverse environment is required.
