  • Unlimited opportunities for employee referral bonuses ABOUT THE JOB-- -- The Kaplan House (Manhattan) provides therapeutic and support services to adolescent---s ages 17-21 who are referred to us through ACS and the Juvenile Justice system. Our residents have experienced significant trauma, resulting in behavioral, emotional, and functional/developmental issues, and Kaplan House offers an extensive independent living skills program, including vocational preparation, and educational services that assists youth towards reaching independence. The Behavioral Health Clinician is a key member of the therapeutic team. He/She/They will be responsible for supplying necessary, culturally sensitive clinical interventions within the realm of the program.-- This position will also work closely with the division---s medical, milieu, psychiatric and psychology staff, to ensure appropriate evaluations and treatment interventions for the youth.-- Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
    • Meet with assigned residents for weekly sessions, engage and remain in contact with their parents, ensure home visits are conducted, vocational/ Educational, psychiatric, recreational services are provided; Engage families in planning for service
    • Identifying and providing access to specific concrete services and community resources
    • Advocate, as necessary, with external resources such as mental health providers, treatment facility, FCLS, community members etc. on behalf of the residents
    • Provide individual, family, and group counseling both on-site at Kaplan House for adolescents 17-21 years old
    • Liaise between program, family court, ACS, case planners, youth---s family members, and relevant community members; Attend other planned ACS and school conferences, as well as court hearings TO QUALIFY: The Jewish Board is currently looking for Behavioral Health Clinicians of all cultures, religions, races, and gender expressions with the following requirements:
      • A license Masters in Social Work, (LMSW) or LCSW, with a minimum of one year of relevant experience with similar population is required
      • A current, valid clean driver---s license is required for this position and throughout all DSP positions
