Job Description:

medicine. Healing made personal. A full-time Associate Researcher
position is offered in the Department of Cell, Developmental, and
Regenerative Biology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount
Sinai. The laboratory studies the specificity of growth factor
signaling pathways during embryonic development. Most of the focus
is on craniofacial development and signaling in neural crest cells.

will work closely with a senior member of the lab, as well as other
members of the group. The successful applicant must be highly
motivated, have good communication skills, show exceptional
attention to detail and have high organizational skills. It is
important that she/he can work efficiently as part of a team. Roles
& Responsibilities: -
- Involved in a diverse array of routine laboratory activities,
with a core focus on
- Genotyping and tracking of transgenic mouse colonies
- Cell culture and molecular and biochemical analysis of such
cultures
- Aid in general lab organization, including:
- Ordering equipment & supplies
- Re-stocking common reagents & solutions
- Maintaining lab databases. Requirements: -
- Highly motivated responsible individual with a B.S. in
Biomedical Sciences (or equivalent).
- Experience: 0-2 year of research/laboratory, experience,
relevant work experience in a research lab is required.
- A minimum commitment of at least 2 years is required.
