Press Tab to Move to Skip to Content Link The Nurse Practitioner (NP) will provide a full range of direct and collaboration in gynecological oncology care services. The NP's clinical duties include responsibility for a cohort of patients and may include conducting the following: gynecologic oncology general gynecologic care including but not limited to annual well woman exams, pap smears, and contraceptive counseling; inpatient low risk obstetric evaluations, post partum management; circumcisions, disability/return to work form completion, and emergency room gynecologic consultations. This position reports to the Nurse Manager and Senior Leadership to help actualize the vision, mission, values, and goals of the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology and Women's Health, and the Montefiore Medical Center. The NP is a key member of the clinical team which assesses and provides care to a selected group of patients in collaboration with physicians; carries out the plan of care for their patient panel; participates in performance improvement activities; maintains professional practice standards and clinical expertise; and demonstrates leadership skills. Job Responsibilities Performs and records a complete physical examination and health history In collaboration with physicians and other health care providers, coordinates care of patients, and evaluates plan of care toward health goals and modifies plan of care accordingly Develops and analyzes differential diagnoses based on clinical and laboratory data Prescribes medications and educates the patient and/or involved others about the drug regimen, interactions and side effects Provide evidence-based prenatal and postpartum care as well as screening for obstetric and primary care issues Participates in a team approach to health care by acting as liaison between subspecialist and other members of the primary care team Performs related duties as necessary Requirements Masters Degree 5 years work experience New York State License for a Nurse Practitioner and current registration or valid permit to practice in New York State as an NP DEA, BLS & ACLS are required 2 years experience in women's health required Excellent critical thinking skills and extensive knowledge of physical assessment Ability to work for OBGYN oncology and general OBGYN Department: OB/GYN Bargaining Unit: NYSNA Campus: EINSTEIN Employment Status: Regular Full-Time Address: 1695 Eastchester Road, Bronx Shift: Day Scheduled Hours: 8:30 AM-5 PM Req ID: 210552 -Salary Range/Pay Rate: - $73.11 For positions that have only a rate listed, the displayed -rate is the hiring -rate but could be subject to change based on shift differential, experience, education or other relevant factors.
