Geriatric Mental Health Initiative

Responsibilities
Provide mental health counseling services in the home for adults 55+, who are home-bound and diagnosed with depression. - Also presentations on mental health to community-based organizations and seniors in the Bronx. - Catchment area: - Bronx, NY. - -Provide case management assistance to clients based on need.
Requirements: Active NYS Driver's License may be required. Program does have vehicles to use. - - Counseling visits are in the client's home; travel is required. - Spanish and English speaking preferred. - Must be proficient in Microsoft Office.
Education: - - - Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, OR, Associate Degree in the human services field, OR, four years of full-time paid experience in social work in a social agency adhering to acceptable standards, OR, an equivalent combination of the foregoing education and experience, required.

Experience: - Minimum one year of social work experience in a mental health or social service setting required.
Monday-Friday 9:00am - 5:00pm. - Non-union benefits
