Psychiatrist or Nurse Practitioner - Tarrytown, NY The Mental Health Association of Westchester (MHA) is a community-based not-for-profit committed to recovery-focused mental health services through advocacy, community education and direct services. MHA reaches out to families and individuals by providing services in their homes, nursing homes, homeless shelters and other community sites.We have an exciting opportunity for candidates for Psychiatrist or Nurse Practitioner positions in Westchester and Rockland counties.We offer a comprehensive array of mental health services for all ages at our licensed mental health clinics, which are located throughout Westchester and Rockland counties. We are recognized as the leader in providing innovative care that involves collaborating with each individual to achieve his or her goals.He/she provides psychiatric and medical assessment and treatment, education and development, maintenance, and supervision of medication and psychiatric and medical treatment policies and procedures. The successful candidate must possess the ability to engage and affect change through a person-centered model. The successful candidate will demonstrate initiative, flexibility, creativity and a collaborative spirit.Ability to master an electronic record system, meet deadlines and productivity targets and willingness to grow and change are musts.The candidate must be a licensed Psychiatrist or Nurse Practitioner.He/she must demonstrate positive leadership, effective communication skills, and the ability to work successfully with a wide range of people. It is expected that he/she is able to perform his/her duties with minimal supervision and consistently use good judgment.
