Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Advisor who is interested in
participating on a variety of projects covering the full spectrum
of ERM's services, to join our consulting firm in the East Durham,
NY area. In this role, you will work onsite with a client to
support EHS compliance, management systems and sustainability. This
is an excellent career opportunity to work with an expert
consulting team on challenging health and safety projects for a
large manufacturing client. Access to ERM's national Sustainable
Operations/EHS Management Systems and Compliance experts provide
knowledge sharing of best practices across the industry and ongoing
learning opportunities for our team. This is a full-time hours,
limited-term role with a duration of 18 months,
renewable.RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide technical assistance on EHS compliance, sustainability,
site investigation, and due diligence transaction projects.
- Develop site programs that conform to corporate EHS and
Engineering standards.
- Perform EHS compliance assessments and implement follow-up
corrective actions to ensure compliance with federal, state, and
local regulations.
- Train staff on health and safety programs.
- Support the development of EHS compliance and management system
programs.
- Provide general EHS compliance support to clients, including
on-site assistance as needed.
- Conduct inspections to verify EHS compliance at customer
sites.
- Perform multiple projects within scope/budget/schedule
expectations and ensure quality standards on project
deliverables.
- Support ERM Partners-in-Charge and Project Managers to
effectively manage projects.REQUIREMENTS:
- BS in occupational health and safety, environmental,
mechanical, or chemical engineering, or related discipline is
highly preferred. Master's a plus.
- 1 - 3 years relevant experience on regulatory compliance and
sustainable H&S compliance programs.
- ASP, CSP, CHMM certifications or similar is desirable.
- Superior written/verbal communication and
organization/analytical skills; experience recording/writing
detailed technical data and reports is required.
- Valid driver's license and good driving record.
- Ability to multi-task, maintain flexibility, travel, and work
independently with minimal supervision.

your interest in ERM! Pay Transparency: For the EHS Advisor
position, we anticipate the annual base pay of $64,000 - $73,000,
$30.77 - $35.10 hourly rate, limited-term, non-exempt. An
employee's pay position within this range will be based on several
factors including, but not limited to, relevant education,
qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic
location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or
revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs. We
also may have instances where employee's fall outside of the range
based on the factors noted above. This job is not eligible for
