Id : 8304 Category : Physician Location/City : NY - Binghamton Salary Range : 0.00 - 0.00 per year (Permanent) Job Type : Permanent Recruiter Email : The regional leader in healthcare is seeking a residency trained BC/BE Adult Psychiatrist to join our multi-disciplinary team in Upstate New York for an in-patient opportunity.Our Psychiatrists carry an inpatient case load of approximately 12, where patients will likely be in three inpatient units. Units include: a high security unit with 17 beds; a geropsych unit with a strong ECT program for both inpatient and outpatient treatment; and a 22 bed general psych unit which provides stabilization and treatment for patients who are appropriate for a locked, but less secure than the high security unit. Physicians work with an interdisciplinary treatment team for each patient. The behavioral health program staff works as a collaborative team. Psychiatrists, social workers, nurses, counselors and other disciplines work together to plan and deliver care to patients.There are opportunities for teaching residents and medical students from Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, as well as the ability to participate in clinical research.
