The ideal candidate must be innovative, have an entrepreneurial spirit, demonstrate natural leadership capabilities, and be compassionate. This is an exciting opportunity for a candidate who is looking to be a strategic partner. Also, this candidate will be serving as an integral member of the senior leadership team, the Vice President of Communications is responsible for the development and execution of a best-in-class communications strategy that will promote the organizations visibility, enhance, and protect its brand reputation, and position the organization as a practice and thought leader in the healthcare and social services spheres.THIS POSITION OFFERS THE FOLLOWING:

Develop and implement an integrated strategic communications plan which as brand identity; broaden awareness of its programs and priorities; and increase the visibility of its programs across key stakeholder audiencesCreate a marketing and public relations strategyPartner with the leadership team and staff to recognize internal and external communications opportunities and solutions, and define and execute appropriate strategies to support themFunctional Operations
Oversee and partner on the development of the organizations print communications including the annual report, marketing collateral materials, and electronic communications including the organizations website and new media; manage relationships with associated vendorsServe as a spokesperson and lead point person on media interactions that help promote and/or impact the organizationExercise judgment to prioritize media opportunities, and prepare talking points, speeches, presentations, and other supporting material as neededActively engage, cultivate, and manage press relationships to ensure coverage surrounding the organizations programs, special events, public announcements, and other projectsOversee the day-to-day activities of the communications function including budgeting, planning, and staff developmentTeam Management
Recruit and manage a communications team to support the development and execution of the communications strategyPromote a culture of learning, high performance, and continuous improvement that values learning and a commitment to qualityMentor and develop staff using a supportive and collaborative approach on a consistent basisEstablish and monitor staff performance and development goals, assign accountabilities, set objectives, establish priorities, conduct annual performance appraisals, and administer salary adjustmentsREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES
