SUMMARYUCare Staffing LLC has partnered with a non-profit
organization that has a need for a Vice President of
Communications. The ideal candidate must be innovative, have an
entrepreneurial spirit, demonstrate natural leadership
capabilities, and be compassionate. This is an exciting opportunity
for a candidate who is looking to be a strategic partner. Also,
this candidate will be serving as an integral member of the senior
leadership team, the Vice President of Communications is
responsible for the development and execution of a best-in-class
communications strategy that will promote the organizations
visibility, enhance, and protect its brand reputation, and position
the organization as a practice and thought leader in the healthcare

and Leadership
Develop and implement an integrated
strategic communications plan which as brand identity; broaden
awareness of its programs and priorities; and increase the
visibility of its programs across key stakeholder audiencesCreate a
marketing and public relations strategyPartner with the leadership
team and staff to recognize internal and external communications
opportunities and solutions, and define and execute appropriate
strategies to support themFunctional Operations
Oversee and partner on the
development of the organizations print communications including the
annual report, marketing collateral materials, and electronic
communications including the organizations website and new media;
manage relationships with associated vendorsServe as a spokesperson
and lead point person on media interactions that help promote
and/or impact the organizationExercise judgment to prioritize media
opportunities, and prepare talking points, speeches, presentations,
and other supporting material as neededActively engage, cultivate,
and manage press relationships to ensure coverage surrounding the
organizations programs, special events, public announcements, and
other projectsOversee the day-to-day activities of the
communications function including budgeting, planning, and staff
developmentTeam Management
Recruit and manage a communications
team to support the development and execution of the communications
strategyPromote a culture of learning, high performance, and
continuous improvement that values learning and a commitment to
qualityMentor and develop staff using a supportive and
collaborative approach on a consistent basisEstablish and monitor
staff performance and development goals, assign accountabilities,
set objectives, establish priorities, conduct annual performance
appraisals, and administer salary adjustmentsREQUIRED
QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES
Fluent or conversational in Spanish
is a plus but not mandatoryBachelors degree in journalism,
communications, or a related fieldProgressive communications
experience in a leadership capacity with team management
experienceDemonstrated expertise in developing, executing, and
managing comprehensive strategic communications, media relations,
and marketing programs to advance an organizations mission and
goalsExpert and extensive successful writing and editing experience
(externally focused) with a variety of print and online
communications media with a minimum of five years of experience in
planning, writing, editing, and production of newsletters, press
releases, annual reports, marketing literature, and other print
publications and directoriesSkilled relationship manager to
proactively build connections with top-tier reporters and editors
to achieve high-impact placements of subject matters with the
mediaCollaborative, credible, and confident to gain the respect of
stakeholders, including the Board of Directors.Driven and
possessing creativity to translate strategic thinking into action
plans and leverage resources to achieve outcomesExcellent judgment
with the ability to make sound decisions in a changing environment
and anticipate future needsCreative problem solver and skilled
negotiator with the ability to make decisions in a changing
environment and anticipate future needsDynamic leader with a high
emotional quotient and superior management skills to build, coach,
