A New York City health services network is currently seeking a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) to join their Oncology team in Manhattan. In this role, the -Oncology Nurse (RN) will be responsible for -coordinating -the care of complex oncology / hematology patients.

About the Opportunity:

  Responsibilities:
  
  The Oncology Nurse (RN) will be responsible for:
  
  • 
    
  • Chemotherapy administration as well as immunotherapy, intravenous gamma globulin, iron infusions and growth factor support
    
  • Assessing patients during treatment
    
  • Management of symptoms both in the infusion center and by telephone triage
    
  • Providing -and reinforcing -patient / family -education
    
  • Performing other duties, as needed
    
    Qualifications:
    
    
    • 
      
    • NYS Registered Nurse (RN) -license
      
    • Chemotherapy certification (OCN)
      
    • BLS certification
      
    • Experience working in Oncology
      
    • Previous experience with Chemotherapy Administration
      
    • Strong IV skills
      
      Desired Skills:
      
      
      • 
        
      • 3+ years of Oncology experience
        
      • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
