Job SummaryNYU Langone Health is seeking a skilled Nuclear Med Technologist to join our team at NYU Langone Huntington Medical Group. As a Nuclear Med Technologist, you will be responsible for performing medically prescribed nuclear medicine procedures, maintaining departmental standards, and staying up-to-date with new techniques and procedures.Key Responsibilities

• Operate hospital and radiology information systems, selecting appropriate patient information and scheduling exams in accordance with HIPPA regulations.
• Perform nuclear medicine procedures, utilizing equipment and following departmental protocols and standards.
• Independently implement patient procedures, explaining the process to patients and solving problems that arise during examinations.
• Assess patient information and status, following appropriate procedures and recognizing the need for isolation precautions.Requirements
  • Associates degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or equivalent.
  • Completion of a Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) recognized nuclear medicine technology program.
