Shift Timing: 19:00 - 07:30 Monday to Friday 3 days 12 hour shift Per Week: 36 Hours

Roles & Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
• Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team. Minimum Qualifications
  • Hospital unit: Seton 3
  • Unit descriptions: 18-20 bed surgical/med surg unit
  • Nurse to patient ratios: 1:4-1:6
  • Patient population: general surgery post-ops and med-surg
  • Beds per unit- 18-20 Other staff/resources on the unit: LPN/PCT/Unit Secretary
  • Certifications required per unit: BLS, ACLS(preferred) QUALIFICATIONS
    • BLS and ACLS
    • National Institutes of Health (NIH)
    • Certified Principal Investigator (CPI) Certification
    • Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
    • The ability to stand for extended periods.
    • Strong technical skills.
    • Knowledge of medical terminology
    • Passionate about patient care
    • Requires a minimum of two years of current RN Med/Surg experience.
    • Graduate from a fully accredited RN program
    • Active unencumbered RN New York state license
    • One year of Epic experience Requirements
      • COVID vaccine with 2 Shots & Booster. SKILLS/ ABILITIES/ COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:
        • Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills.
        • Participates in relevant continuing education programs.
        • Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients.
        • Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise.
        • A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.
        • Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
