A health services organization in New York City is currently seeking a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) to join one of their residential facilities in Manhattan. In this role, the Registered Nurse (RN) will be responsible for providing evaluation, diagnosis and therapeutic interventions in accordance with organization's policies, the regulations and requirements of applicable regulatory agencies and the standards of the profession.About the Opportunity:Schedule: Monday to FridayHours: FlexibleSetting: Residential FacilityResponsibilities:The Registered Nurse (RN) will:Arrange medical services for persons served and issues medical referrals, as neededProvide follow-up on medical problems for persons servedConduct training for staff in medical administration, personal hygiene, basic first aid, dental hygiene, infection control, adaptive equipment, vital signs, signs and symptoms of illness and other in-services as may be necessary to meet needs of persons servedHandle control of communicable diseases and infections through identification and assessment, reporting to consulting physician and implementation of appropriate protective and preventive measures and staff training in regard to infection controlParticipate in interdisciplinary team meetings and annual reviews as required by each divisionProvide immediate first aid with referral to outside emergency services or private physicianParticipate in routine individual case reviewsPrepare and maintain medical documentation on each person servedAdminister medications when appropriate, and supervises certified staff in administrationProvide first aid and attends to emergency needs of persons servedTransport persons served to appointments, as necessaryPerform other related duties, as requestedQualifications:Graduate of an accredited School of NursingNYS Registered Nurse (RN) licenseCPR certificationKnowledge of equipment typically used by persons receiving services, including wheelchairs and adaptive devicesSolid assessment, clinical, and documentation skillsPatient orientedGreat interpersonal skillsExcellent communication skills (written and verbal)Strong attention to detailHighly organizedDesired Skills:1+ year of Nursing experience in the delivery of Community-based Health Services to individuals with Developmental Disabilitiesby Jobble
