Job Description A premier health services network in New York
City is actively seeking a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) to join
their Maternal Care Homecare team in the Bronx. In this role, the
Registered Nurse (RN) will provide healthcare services in patients'
homes, caring for post-partum mothers, infants and/or pediatric
patients who were recently discharged from the hospital and need
additional care in the home. About the Opportunity: - Start Date:
ASAP - Assignment Length: 13-week contract - Hours: 9am to 5pm -
Setting: Homecare (in the field) Responsibilities: - Provide
mother/pediatric and/or caregiver with teaching and involve them in
assessment activities - Provide patient assessments and develop a
plan of treatment and care with ongoing evaluation of
patient/family needs for other services - Evaluate patient's
response to plan of care and revise as necessary - Provide teaching
on disease and medication management - Authorize & coordinate all
service, including nursing, rehab, respiratory therapy, nutritional
services, equipment, professional and non-professional staffing and
support services - Maintain current, complete, and appropriate
documentation in the patient care record - Perform other duties, as
needed Qualifications: - 2 years of Acute Care experience -
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing - Active NYS Registered
Nurse (RN) license - BLS and PALS certifications - Experience in a
Home Care, Maternal & Child Care, and/or Pediatrics role setting -
Maternal Child Home Health experience - Competent in the knowledge
of safe administration and teaching medications. Desired Skills: -
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
