Job Description:
The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology of Northwell Health
and The Zucker School of Medicine seeks a dynamic Board
Certified/Board Eligible Maternal Fetal Medicine Specialist to join
the Women's Health Division at Staten Island University Hospital
(Staten Island, NY). The division offers a diverse work environment
including office and hospital consultation, high-risk pregnancy
management, routine and high-resolution ultrasound, prenatal
diagnosis, and antepartum testing. Candidates must be Board
Certified in both Obstetrics/Gynecology and Maternal Fetal
Medicine. Candidates must demonstrate a strong commitment to
academic medicine and patient care as well as fellow, resident, and
medical student education. We are a strong academic section in a
tertiary care referral network with a busy ultrasound unit and high
risk practice serving a diverse population. Staten Island
University Hospital performs approximately 3,000 deliveries a year
and has excellent perinatal quality measures including low
C-section rates and low maternal morbidity. We have a level 3
nursery with a superb neonatology service. This is an exciting time
to join Staten Island University Hospital and provide state of the
art, clinical care to our mothers and babies in our brand-new Women
and Newborn Center. Founded in 1861, Staten Island University
Hospital is a 714-bed, specialized teaching hospital located in New
York City's fastest growing borough. Occupying two large campuses,
plus a number of community-based health centers and labs, the
