The Department of Urology at Northwell Health is seeking a physician leader for the position of Chief, Urology at Long Island Jewish Valley Stream Hospital. Working with the urology system chair and regional director on all matters related to clinical operations Ensure high quality patient care through development and standardization of care processes and protocols Continue to develop a culture of scholarship in quality improvement, health equity and outcomes Ensure the productivity of physician faculty and support staff Maintain and improve upon the excellence within the department Candidate Qualifications D. Degree or equivalent from an accredited College of Medicine Completion of residency and fellowship with Board Certification or eligibility Currently licensed as a physician in the State of New York Outstanding communication and management skills, and an ability to work collaboratively with medical staff, hospital management, and staff Previous division, department, or program leadership Department of Urology Northwell Health's Department of Urology has witnessed tremendous growth within Long Island, New York City, and Westchester over the last 10 years, through provision of comprehensive, integrated health care and wellness services. Our physicians have vast experience in minimally invasive procedures to treat all urologic diseases including those affecting the prostate, bladder, kidneys, female and male genitalia, and urinary tract. In an effort to make the transition as smooth as possible, you will have partners who have a wealth of experience in all the specialty areas of urology. We hold weekly conferences to help keep all updated on the latest treatments and technologies. We have residencies and an extensive network of physician extenders. Our urologic physicians, who are also faculty of the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell are instrumental in providing excellent quality care as well as developing novel education programs.
