Location: 325 W 15th St, New York, NY 10011 Shift: 9:00 AM – 5:00
PM Experience Required: 2 years recent experience Position Summary
The Ultrasound Technologist performs or assists in a variety of
diagnostic ultrasound examinations, providing high-quality imaging
support to Radiologists and ensuring patient comfort and safety
throughout procedures. The technologist is responsible for
operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting ultrasound equipment
while ensuring adherence to departmental and safety protocols.
Duties and Responsibilities - Prepare and examine patients for
ultrasound procedures per established protocols. - Operate, adjust,
and maintain ultrasound equipment; ensure safety of patients and
staff. - Perform daily setup, cleaning, and minor equipment
adjustments. - Maintain adequate supplies and ensure exam rooms are
properly stocked. - Capture and transfer images to PACS and
physicians’ workstations. - Assist in orienting and mentoring new
ultrasound personnel. - Handle scheduling, phone calls, and patient
transport coordination as needed. - Perform other related duties as
assigned. Required Skills and Qualifications - Certification:
Registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical
Sonographers (ARDMS) - Experience: Minimum 2 years as an Ultrasound
Technologist - Technical Proficiency: - Knowledge of Microsoft
Office and administrative practices - Experience with PACS and
imaging systems - Skill in using personal computers and clinical
software - Soft Skills: - Strong problem-solving and
decision-making abilities - Excellent written and verbal
communication - Exceptional accuracy, attention to detail, and
discretion Education - Required: Registration with ARRT (American
