Job Description:
Our client, a prominent community teaching hospital in New York
City with a strong commitment to advancing cardiovascular care, is
hiring a Cardiologist, Cardiac Electrophysiology. This vital role
offers an exceptional opportunity to lead electrophysiology
services within a collaborative and growing cardiology team.
Responsibilities: Perform comprehensive electrophysiology studies,
catheter ablations, and implantable device procedures including
pacemakers and defibrillators. Diagnose and treat complex
arrhythmias using catheter-based techniques and device
interventions. Conduct cardiac monitoring, heart imaging, tilt
table tests, and related diagnostics. Collaborate with a
multidisciplinary team of cardiologists, residents, and other
specialists to develop tailored patient care plans. Participate in
inpatient rounds, outpatient clinics, and procedural interventions
in the hospital's on-site cath lab. Contribute to resident
education and teaching activities within the cardiology department.
Provide consultative services for arrhythmia management and assist
in program development initiatives. Requirements: MD or DO degree
with board certification or eligibility in Cardiovascular Disease
and Electrophysiology. Proven experience in performing
electrophysiology procedures, including EP studies, ablations, and
device implantation. Strong knowledge of heart rhythm management
and diagnostic testing techniques. Excellent communication and
teamwork skills, with a focus on patient-centered care. Ability to
work a flexible schedule, including one week of PCI call every four
weeks, with compensation for night call coverage. Some of the
