Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Acute Care - Discipline: RN - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days - Employment Type: Local Contract WCS Healthcare is currently seeking a Med/Surg Nurse for a contract assignment at a Prestigious Hospital in Brooklyn, NY. Job Function: - Day Shift and Night Shift. - 3x12. - Prepare, administer (orally, subcutaneously, or intravenously), and accurately record prescribed medications. - Report any adverse reactions to medications or treatments in accordance with nursing policies. - Educate patients about surgical procedures and address their questions or concerns. - Record patients’ medical information and vital signs accurately. - Monitor, adjust, and maintain specialized patient equipment, interpreting and documenting electronic displays as needed. Job Requirements: - Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing or holder of a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN). - Current Registered Nurse (RN) license for the state of New York. - 1 year of acute Med/Surg RN experience required. - BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association required.
