We’re seeking a proven Hospital Medicine leader to serve as Medical Director in Syracuse, NY — an opportunity to combine leadership, clinical excellence, and work-life balance in a thriving, patient-centered hospital environment. Position Overview As the Medical Director of Hospital Medicine , you’ll guide a talented hospitalist team and help shape the future of inpatient care delivery. This full-time, weekday-only leadership position offers professional autonomy, institutional support, and the resources of a top regional health system. Key Responsibilities: Provide visionary leadership for the Hospital Medicine department Oversee daily hospitalist operations, quality initiatives, and performance metrics Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to enhance patient outcomes Champion hospital safety, compliance, and best-practice standards Mentor, recruit, and retain top physician talent Support workflow and documentation using Epic EMR Maintain a Monday–Friday schedule (approx. 40–50 hours/week) No nights, no weekends, no call! Minimum 2 years of leadership experience in hospital or acute care setting ? ACLS, BLS, PALS, and DEA certifications ?
