Job Description Job Title: Pharmacist – Specialty Focus Location: Far Rockaway, NY 11691 Schedule Options: 9:00 AM – 4:30 PM OR 4:30 PM – 12:00 AM Salary Range: $77/hr Position Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Pharmacist with a specialty pharmacy background to join our team in Far Rockaway, NY. This role is ideal for a pharmacist who is passionate about specialty medications, patient care coordination, and operational excellence, with a clear pathway to grow into a Supervising Pharmacist (SP) position . The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, clinically strong, and comfortable working in a fast-paced specialty environment while collaborating closely with leadership and pharmacy staff. Key Responsibilities Verify and dispense specialty and non-specialty prescriptions in compliance with federal and state regulations Utilize PrimeRx (required) for prescription processing, workflow management, and documentation Provide clinical oversight and ensure accuracy in medication therapy management Collaborate with providers, payers, and internal teams to support specialty workflows Support prior authorizations, clinical documentation, and patient adherence initiatives Counsel patients on medication use, side effects, and therapy expectations Maintain compliance with all pharmacy policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements Assist with operational improvements and workflow optimization Serve as a clinical and operational resource to pharmacy staff Participate in leadership responsibilities with the potential to transition into a Supervising Pharmacist role Qualifications Active and unrestricted New York State Pharmacist License Specialty pharmacy experience required Hands-on experience with PrimeRx (required) Strong understanding of specialty medication workflows and payer requirements Excellent communication and organizational skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment Interest in leadership growth and long-term career development What We Offer Competitive salary: $77/hr Predictable schedule options Opportunity for career advancement into a Supervising Pharmacist position Supportive leadership and collaborative work environment Exposure to complex specialty workflows and growth-focused operations Job Type: Full-time Work Location: In person
